The drive just failed to burn that disc.

ah yes

at least this i have understood by myself

Maybe it was defective?

the crucial question, glad you asked it

You won't get much help here with BD-R burning, it's not something many people do.

are you implying the program is poorly developed for the blu ray burning?

finally

i would understand if i can decide if it is the disks failure or the drive,

if someone could help me to decide to trash the disks, the drive or both

or the program, this is the less costly decision

i realize maybe i am asking something related only by side to imgburn,

but until now i have trusted that program to record my data,

and i have hoped this forum had knowledgeable people

i am not an expert but i have seen imgburn offers many options i usually do not see in other burning program

so i thought i could rely on some extended experience by developers and users

it is nice to see the answers i get are like

"yeah, the log says you received an error burning"

"you log reveals there was an error"

"if it happened this means it happened, what you pretend"

thanks i do not want make you lose anymore time

and me too

No, I'm saying that the majority of users burn DVD's and not BD-R's.

If you're the only one doing something, who do you expect to help you?

Looking at your log, it's impossible to say where the problem lies - be it with the media or with the drive... but the error comes from a problem between the drive/firmware/media, the software doesn't even come into it.

You'd have to burn more discs and see if they all error out. If they do you'd have to buy another spindle and then try those. If all discs error out at all speeds the drive supports then it's likely to be the drive.

Of course BD-R are still very expensive so figuring this stuff out isn't going to be cheap.
