LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Have you tried burning at 4x? (note that 1x isn't actually possible... your options are 2.4x and 4x) Where are you Verbatim discs made? (look on the spindle/box) The ones from Singapore are the best. Your drive is getting on a bit now, it's probably got dirty over the years so you could try running a cleaning disc though it. Failing that, get a new drive.

Failing that, get a new drive. thanks for the fast relpy the disc's are from Singapore learned the hard and expensive way bought memorex first NEVER AGAIN. as far as speed goes most of the post said burn'en slow The disc speed is 2.4 and the only thing lower was 1 will try again at 2.4 . As far as the drive the whole puter is an antique ,but it keep put ,puten along thanks agian for the advice .will clean it and speed it up and give it another try

Cynthia Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Based on the log, your burner is burning the disc so bad that it can't even be read during the verify stage. If you scan the disc with either Nero DiscSpeed or DVDInfoPro I think you will see very bad results even on the parts it could read. Time to get a new shiny burner.
