Disk empty and not empty at the same time?!?

Heey everybody,

I've burned an image file to a dvd-r, but it didn't work :S

So i decided to check the dvd using the 'verify' option of imgburn

There i got a very strange problem:

If i'm at the 'verify' mode, it says: 'disk is empty'

If i'm at the 'write' mode, it says: 'disk not empty'

There i couldn't follow it any more.

Here are the logs:

Your drive is probably erroring out because of an interface / driver issue or it just doesn't like trying to use that rubbish RITEK media.

There's a 1.06 firmware update available from here - http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-H55N/files.html

i've installed the new firmware, but it still doesn't work

any other ideas?

Load imgburn, switch to write mode, eject the disc, press f8, load the disc... wait until it says it's not empty, then press f8 again.

Save the contents of the log window to a file and upload it.

Do you have any other blanks you can try?

All the disc info commands are failing with the error 'Unable to recover TOC' on those.

i've burned images on similar dvds without problems, that's the strange thing

when i burned an image on this one, and i wanted to play it, my computer says it's empty, although i can see there is written on it (at the back of the dvd)

Strange...
