mmalves Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Your Verbatim blanks, are they made in Singapore? or India?
quad Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 dont know? it matters? i had six succesful burns then this all of a sudden
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 dont know? it matters? i had six succesful burns then this all of a sudden Yep. It matters. A couple of things you might not know. Verbatim media made in India are crap. (Have a look on the packaging). Also, USB drives don't have a good track record. Your burner would be much happier attached to the IDE cable if possible. Whether they write properly or not pretty much depends on the mood they're in. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Lastly, to understand a bit of what's going on, all Imgburn does is talk to the drive. If something goes wrong, the drive will talk to ImgBurn and tell it (via your logfile) what the problem is. Your drive or your media could fail for any number of reasons. All ImgBurn does is display the failure... it doesn't cause it.
