i use verbatum disc and just got anew sony burner. burned 6 times now i get this. can it be fixed?

thanks for any help

Try burning at 2.4x with a new blank disc.

dont know? it matters? i had six succesful burns then this all of a sudden

 

Yep. It matters. A couple of things you might not know. Verbatim media made in India are crap. (Have a look on the packaging). Also, USB drives don't have a good track record. Your burner would be much happier attached to the IDE cable if possible. Whether they write properly or not pretty much depends on the mood they're in. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Lastly, to understand a bit of what's going on, all Imgburn does is talk to the drive. If something goes wrong, the drive will talk to ImgBurn and tell it (via your logfile) what the problem is. Your drive or your media could fail for any number of reasons. All ImgBurn does is display the failure... it doesn't cause it.
