mmalves Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I 19:02:53 Destination Device: [1:1:0] DVD+RW RW5125 1.27 (F:) (ATA)I 19:02:53 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Speeds: 2x, 2.4x) See if this firmware update works. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Anyway you really should get a new burner, yours is ancient

nodashes Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 i know that this might sound stupid, but how do i actually update my drive? I downloaded it...but cant figure out any way to update it. i tried changing the write speed but still the same problems. thanks
nodashes Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 You just run the file you've downloaded. i just ran it and then tried to boot it up again but it still is my old update
