I/O error when trying to write to dvd+r double layer

I get the same kind of error but on the last line mine says for Interpretation: Cannot write Medium - Incompatible Format

I am assuming it is the dvds I bought...Memorex DVD+R DL. I didn't realize they were so corrupt. I've ordered some Verbatim. But just in case, does the error message above refer to the DVDs? I tried all 10 in a pack and got the same message each time.

Right before I got the I/O message I got this message:

Set LO Data Zone Capacity Failed!

Reason: No Seek Complete

What does that mean? My computer is capable of burning double layer dvds...I've done it before with Verbatims. Thanks.

Your drive doesn't support the dye used in those discs. Try with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) and it should work. You may also want to crossflash your burner to the official 1.12 firmware as that's the latest available.

By the way, those Memorex blanks may work on other burners, if you want to try.
