LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 What are you trying to do? Burn a DVD+R / DVD+RW disc? If so, you'll need a new drive because yours only supports DVD-R / DVD-RW. But basically, whatever it is that you're doing, the drive doesn't support it - it doesn't like the disc.

But basically, whatever it is that you're doing, the drive doesn't support it - it doesn't like the disc. Im trying to burn an ISO image to a DVD-R disc. The drive is in an older laptop. Could it be the drive is just bad or I need to find an older disc?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Personally I'd go for a new drive but you might get lucky and find a firmware update for yours that makes it support those DVD-R.
