Al G Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 First and foremost, I'll be honest with everyone in that I am new to this. That being said, I have found ImgBurn quite easy to operate. I burned about 4 movies but when I play them back they pause and skip a little. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Please talk to me in layman terms. Thanks - AG
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Without seeing a log, it's hard to say. If they skip it normally means the player can't read the disc properly. You can improve the quality of the burnt disc by: 1. Updating the firmware on your drive. 2. Burning slower (although this isn't always the case). 3. Using better media - Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the best.

I'll also check to see what the speed is set at - I have not messed with the settings to it is burning at the default speed. I use Verbatim DVD's +R.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Default is 'AWS' which unless you've configured the 'Automatic Write Speed' feature properly will end up as being 'MAX'. Burn at 8x or 12x for best results.
