njcdec Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 (edited) Hi imgburn will not reconise a dvd-r disc in my desktop pc but will reconise a dvd-rw disc can anyone help please as if i put the dvd-r in my laptop then its fine with imgburn Edited April 14, 2009 by njcdec
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 It's not ImgBurn's job to recognise media, it's the drives. So if you can't do anything when there's a DVD-R in the tray, it means your drive probably doesn't support the dye being used by that disc. Try some others.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Does it recognise blank DVD-RW's? Can you burn to them? I'm just wondering if you even have a DVD burner or if it's just a DVD reader / CD burner.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Oh well, try some different discs then. A firmware update might fix the issue too. What drive do you have?
