ddrees Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Every time I try and burn a game I keep getting a write error. I'm using Memorex DL disks and I know they're not the best but I gave a few to a friend and they burn successfully each time. I've tried uninstalling imgburn and even reformatting my hard drive but nothing seems to keep these errors from coming up. I 11:21:09 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 11:21:09 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (6.1, Build 7000) I 11:21:09 Total Physical Memory: 2,029,432 KB - Available: 1,244,444 KB I 11:21:09 Initialising SPTI... LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Just because your friends drive supports them doesn't mean your one will. Your drive is supposed to support that media at 4x, 6x and 8x. You burning at 2x won't change that... it'll just burn at 4x anyway. Try again at 6x and 8x. If all else fails, http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 No 2 drives are ever the same and perhaps theirs is cleaner.
