I 18:47:42 Destination Device: [3:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H54N 1.00 (E:) (ATA)

I 18:47:42 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x)

I 18:47:42 Write Speed: 2x

It means the drive wasn't able to write to that disc. Update the firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before doing so), reboot the computer and try again with a brand new blank disc. If it still doesn't work, try the other supported write speeds.

Seriously, SP1?!

Update Windows to SP3

Update your drives firmware to 1.03 - http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-H54N/files.html

Burn faster. Those are 8x discs and your drive probably likes burning them faster rather than slower - that's why it can even overspeed them to 10x.

It is still not working. I am able to burn DVD-R and CD's with ease but I cant burn with Dual DVD+R. I am using Verbatim and even tried using nero and tried to burn as data file. Is it possible that my burner cant burn on dual dvdr's?.

You may also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your burner.
