having a problem figure out booktyping

Hey Guys

 

I have just installed your program.

 

I needed it to burn some wii games, I got an drivekey in my wii.

It said at the link above that I couldnt use DVD+R and had to change the booktype with ImgBurn to DVD-R.

 

My drive is an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170S (as far as I can figure out) and have updated it to firmware version 1.3

 

and when I googled the name, something about NEC and sony came up, so I would use the NEC tab in the booktype change window. and choose "Drive (For DVD+R Media)" at the "change for"

 

The current settings then says:

-

DVD+R (Changes Available: 500)

This setting is Active

-

When I try to set the new setting to DVD-R it says:

-

Failed!

Reason: Parameter Value Invalied

-

 

I also tryed the other tabs but couldnt they already said failed under current settings.

 

my dvdes are also quite cheap

Im having the same problem.

My DVDRW drive is NEC, and all my DVDs are Verbatim DVD+R.

 

I get the same error when choosing Drive (For DVD+R Media) and then DVD-ROM.

jakez, you need to flash your burner with Liggy's AD-7170S Bitsetting Firmware 1.03. After doing this (and rebooting the computer of course) ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on Optiarc drives

 

freddes, you also need to flash your burner with the bitsetting firmware, look in Liggy and Dee's website
