mmalves Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Look in the FAQ and try using Process Explorer and Unlocker to see if any other program is holding your drives.
eraz0r Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Can be a virus/malware issue as well. Other users reported this error in Windows Explorer. Check this link for additional info: http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=15413
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'd also be running a malware scanner. It's a safe bet that you've got a nasty hidden on your PC somewhere.
eraz0r Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 That's right. I checked other Google results on this "too many secrets" error, in most cases people got rid of it by running malware scanners/rootkit revealers and cleaning the system up. Just give it a try and let us know if it helps with your problem.
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 David98: Secunia PSI might be an idea also. Grab the Desktop version. Great program. http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/
SpeedyStone Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Can be a virus/malware issue as well. Other users reported this error in Windows Explorer. Check this link for additional info: http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=15413 This thread is one of the best and most informative I've found yet. THANKS!!!
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I'm glad it's helped. Don't forget to update Java.
