  1. Traducerea a fost actualizată pentru ImgBurn 2.5.8.0. =================================== The translation has been updated for ImgBurn 2.5.8.0.
  3. Even so, this is a problem, because I maintain a high quality standard for all my translations, and I don't want the users think that the mistakes present in the updated translation by lordkag were made by me. ===================== Chiar şi aşa, e o problemă, pentru că eu am un standard înalt de calitate pentru toate traducerile mele, şi nu vreau ca utilizatorii să creadă că greşelile prezente în traducerea actualizată de lordkag au fost făcute de mine. Of course. He could have sent me a personal message or an e-mail. By not doing it, he can be suspected of trying to steal my translation. ==================== Bineînţeles. Ar fi putut să-mi trimită un mesaj personal sau unul de poştă electronică. Nefăcînd asta, poate fi suspectat de tentativă de a-mi fura traducerea. This is not about honor, but about experience and competence in translating software. Not every person that knows english can be a good software translator. You must accumulate some experience before trying to do big translations from scratch or translation updates for software that is so complex like ImgBurn. Otherwise you are prone to do mistakes, like it already happened even with this minor update done by lordkag. And translations in Romanian must be really good, because otherwise the majority of Romanians will continue to use software in English like this is the case now. ======================== Not mentioning that you have updated a translation done by me is the second mistake that you've done. The first is the fact that you have not contacted me prior to posting the update on the forum. Of course it is ideal if a translation update is done as quickly as possible, but there is not a big problem if the update is ready after several days, instead of several hours. The most important thing should be not to have any mistakes in the update, which is not the case with your update. On the other hand, each translator has his own style of expression, and it is recommended that this style be kept throughout all the translation. The strings updated by you have a style that is in contrast with the one used for the other strings in the translation. For example the expression "Confirmare Detecție" from your update is written in a non-natural, robotic style, which I do not use and is not pleasant to read. Păi dacă aşteptai traducerea făcută de mine, de ce ai postat actualizarea făcută de tine? A cerut cineva imperativ pe forum traducerea în română? Nu, lumea e obişnuită să aştepte cîteva zile, ba chiar şi mai mult, pentru că nu e vorba de o actualizare majoră a traducerii, deci folosirea softului nu e afectată mai deloc de lipsa actualizării. ================================= So, if you were waiting for the update done by me, why did you post the update done by you? Did someone request imperatively the updated romanian translation? No, the users are accustomed to wait a few days, or even more, because it was not a major translation update, and the use of the software was not hampered at all by the lack of the update. 00000672=Implicit Sistemului 00000673=Specificat de Utilizator În şirurile de mai sus este vorba de limba interfeţei sistemului, deci trebuie folosit genul feminin, adică aşa ca mai jos: 00000672=Implicita sistemului 00000673=Specificată de utilizator ========================= Oh yes, you have done several mistakes, both because of the hurry, and because of your lack of experience. For example, in your update there are two identical strings, even though in the second string you should have used "BDMT_ENG.XML" instead of "VPLST000.XPL" : 00000662=Etichetă Volum - Citește VPLST000.XPL 00000663=Etichetă Volum - Citește VPLST000.XPL There are two other mistakes in the same update. In the english language the words are generally not inflected according to their gender, but in the romanian translations the words must be inflected according to the precise gender to which they are reffering to. 00000672=Implicit Sistemului 00000673=Specificat de Utilizator The above strings translated by you are about the language used in the ImgBurn interface. In the Romanian language, the word "limbă" belongs to the feminine gender, so the translation must reflect this. ================================ I see the big picture and I try to fight those behaviors that harm the translator community. As I said, the number of Romanian translators is very little, and if those that exist now don't have the peace of mind necessary when doing work for free, their number will drop even further, and all those that use Romanian translations will suffer because of that. I already said that on the AIMP forum. I don't mind at all if someone modifies or updates one of my translations, in order to use it on his personal computer. What anybody does on his computer is his business, not mine. But it is not correct if a modified translation is sent to the software's author as a new translation (like it happened in AIMP's case) or is posted on the software's forum (like it happened in ImgBurn's case). Such behaviors will only frighten the persons who want to become software translators. Nobody likes to work for free, only to see that someone else is interfering with his work. The volunteer translators which do their work conscientiously must be respected, not disturbed. I have never interfered with the work of another translator, if he has updated regularly his translation. All the other Romanian translators did exactly the same. We never interfered with one another's work, even though we had sometimes differences of opinion. To have a translator steal another translator's work was unheard of. Cristian Silaghi was the first to display such an atrocious behavior, by trying to steal my translation for AIMP. This had never happended before in the community of Romanian translators. I then said that he opened the Pandora's box, and it seems I was right. Unfortunately, if such behaviors will continue, that is, if the translators will not have peace of mind to do their work, the future of software translations in Romanian will be gloomy, beacuse almost nobody would want to work for free in conditions of psychological stress. No, this is not the acceptable behavior in this case. You must delete the attachment from the first message and maybe add an explanation for the removal if you want. As I said, you can use your updated translation on your computer, but you must remove it from the internet so as not to create confusion. ======================== I have not translated in english my answer from above, because it has nothing to do with ImgBurn or my translations, but with the translation of MPC-HC, a media player. ====================== The problem is not what I think myself about fellow Romanians, but what the non-Romanians will think when reading about situations like the one discussed in this thread, or what will be the reaction of those that want to become software translators. I can only point out that in both situations concerning translations done by me and modified by others, I was not contacted previously, even though such a thing was very easy to do. This makes me question why such an important step was skipped. In the case of the AIMP's translation, all made sense when the thief sent an e-mail trying to persuade me to let myself robbed without protesting, a thing that obviously did not happen. In the current case, I have no idea how the situation would have evolved if I did not answer quickly. But for someone who wants to become a software translator, these two unfortunate situations will make him think twice before starting to work for free.
============================= Unfortunately, now there is a thief ("lordkag") also for the ImgBurn translation. He took my translation, updated it (badly) with the few strings added in version 2.5.7.0 and posted it on the forum like it was his own translation. What these shameless thieves do not understand is the fact that they do a great disservice to the whole community of translators. Who will begin translating software in Romanian (or other language) if at any moment there is a risk of someone showing up and stealing his work? Who will keep updating a translation for many years in a row if he must live in a constant state of stress caused by the fear that someone could steal his translation? Very few will continue to translate for free in these conditions. Already the number or Romanian translators is very low, but with the threat of theft that now hangs above the head of any translator, it is expected that this number will drop, not increase.
  5. You, lordkag, are a thief. This is my translation and you have not mentioned that. I did not gave you permission to modify it and post it here like it was a translation done by you. To all those reading this thread. Please do not download the translation posted by lordkag. Do not use stolen items. This will only reinforce the bad behavior of stealing translations and this will not be good at all for the ImgBurn community. Download my updated translation from the following thread: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9977 =================== P.S. Unfortunately, this is the second time that one of my translations is stolen. If this continues, the Romanians will be regarded as people who steal anything from anybody, just like I said last year when another thief tried to steal my translation for AIMP. You can read the whole story below: http://www.aimp.ru/forum/index.php?topic=29579.0
  6. Traducerea a fost actualizată pentru ImgBurn 2.5.7.0. =================================== The translation has been updated for ImgBurn 2.5.7.0.
  8. Traducerea a fost actualizată pentru ImgBurn 2.5.6.0. =================================== The translation has been updated for ImgBurn 2.5.6.0.
2 sg) are forma "sari", nu "sări". Pentru a evalua corect traducerile mele este nevoie de mai mult de 2 minute petrecute folosindu-le. ========================================================== The terminology used in the translation of ImgBurn is used in all the translations made by me. The full list of these translations is below: http://muntealb.orgfree.com/Traduceri/traduceri-softuri.htm I translate directly from english to romanian. I am not using the french language as an intermediary. The romanian term "fişier" was imported from the french language in the 1970's, when romanian translations pertaining to computers were made via the french. No other european language uses a term derived from the french word "fichier" in order to translate the english word "file". Maybe a similar term to the french one is used in some african languages, spoken in the former french colonies. But in Europe, for example the Italians are geographically neighbours of the French, and the italian language has been greatly influenced from a vocabulary point of view by the french language in modern times. However, even the Italians do not use a word of french origin in this case, they have imported directly the english word "file". Is there any reason, any sound argument, for maintaining the romanian language as a vassal (dependent) of the french language, like it happened in the last 200 years? There is no gain in maintaining the romanian IT terminology bound to the french terminology, when english is actually the language that sets the tone all over the world in the field of computers and internet. Aside from that, the French have expressed many times in recent years their negative opinion about Romanians, which they consider as being to blame for a sizeable part of the infractionality that takes part in France. Even yesterday, the french interior minister has reaffirmed that. The Romanians also do not have a good opinion about the French. So, is there any reason to maintain the close bond between the romanian language and the french language, a bond established artificially for propaganda purposes in the 19th and 20th centuries (1800's and 1900's)? It would be absolutely ridiculous to do that in the 21st century, when the french language has lost his international prestige and french usage is in a marked decline all over the world. Even in Romania, almost nobody knows french or wants to learn french. The romanian language must develop on its own, by creating new words, or by importing them from the most prestigiou slanguage in a specific field of activity. For example, in the field of computers, the importing of words must be done from english, not from french. Wherever in the original strings the term used was "file", not "image", I have used the corresponding romanian term. I consider of utmost importance the fidelity (phraseology and terminology) of my translations in regard to the original text. The official romanian orthographic and orthoepic dictionary published in 2005 says at the page 704 that the imperative of the verb "a sări" ("to jump") for the second person is "sari", not "sări". In order to evaluate correctly my translations one needs to use them for more than 2 minutes. ("Which romance language sounds more slavic?"), la care am participat sub pseudonimul "ravinescu". Istoria învăţată în şcoală este plină de propagandă, adevărata istorie putînd fi aflată doar din textele scrise pentru adulţi, de exemplu din tratatele de istorie. Ca urmare am oferit în cursul dezbaterii de mai jos multe citate din cărţile scrise de cei mai mari istorici români din trecut sau prezent. Dezbatere despre istoria poporului român şi a limbii române: http://www.antimoon.com/forum/t13953-45.htm (în engleză) Mesajele mele sînt în paginile : 4, 5, 8->10, 13, 20->25, 27->30, 32->37, 42->48 ========================================================== I have the age of a person who is not affected anymore by the official propaganda taught in romanian schools. In these schools for the last 200 years a massive operation of brainwashing has taken place in order to hide the true genetic roots of the romanians and to invent for them a fake ethnic identity. Because of that, I am using the natural romanian language (which uses exclusively the letter Î and the word "sînt"), which is spoken by the ordinary population. I am not using the language who was modified for propaganda purposes by catholic priests from Transylvania in the 19th century (1800's). The letter  is completely useless, its purpose being exclusively a propagandistic one, in order to create an optical illusion, so that the world will make the confusion between Roman (a member of the ancient people from Italy) and Român (a member of the contemporary people from Eastern Europe). Similarly, the classical latin word "sunt" was introduced artificially in the romanian language at the place of the genuine romanian word "sînt". Anyone who wants to understand the real history of the romanian orthography (spelling), including the changes made in 1993, must read the discussion linked below: Debate about the use of "Î/sînt" or "Â/sunt" in the romanian language: http://forum.softpedia.com/index.php?showtopic=454379 (in romanian) Anyone who wants to learn about the real history of the romanian people and of the romanian language, must read the debate with the title "Which romance language sounds more slavic?", that took part on the Antimoon forum. I have participated to that debate under the nickname "ravinescu". The history taught in romanian schools is full of propaganda, so the real history can be learned only from history books written for adults, for example the treatises of history available in the romanian bookshops. For that purpose, in the discussion I have provided many quotations from books written by the best romanian historians from the past or present. Debate about the true history of the romanian people and of the romanian language: http://www.antimoon.com/forum/t13953-45.htm (in english) My messages are on the pages: 4, 5, 8->10, 13, 20->25, 27->30, 32->37, 42->48
  10. Traducerea a fost actualizată pentru ImgBurn 2.5.3.0 - 2.5.4.0. Versiunea 2.5.4.0, apărută la cîteva zile după 2.5.3.0, nu a adus modificări la textele din interfaţa softului, deci se foloseşte aceeaşi traducere ca pentru versiunea 2.5.3.0. =================================== The translation has been updated for ImgBurn 2.5.3.0 - 2.5.4.0.
