  1. having results that are not as good as the last version..getting some pops and messed up audio??? any thoughts..nothing else has changed. i will try reinstalling the 2.4.0 just to make sure im not crazy
  2. ahh missed that on the changelog.. nice. seems to work great so far. loving 2.4.1 now.. the last one seemed to work fine but this one is even better!!
  3. is this something new added to 2.4.1? it never did this before and i wanted to make sure it was now normal. it builds each track before burning? doesnt seem to add them anywhere to the hard drive? or does it...?? i dont mind it this way this is how most other programs do it anyway but verison 2.4.0 did not do this... at least not on this system. thanks
  4. im trying dvd flick now. i have the paid version of tmpgenc xpress?? but i see no option of making dvd type files it seems to always output a mpeg file?? jill or anyone else where is this option??? dvd flick seems ok to.. not bad. ill play with it more its just i have a 99$ program here id like to be able to use... thanks again everyone
  5. okay well tmpgenc does a awesome job converting to a dvd ready mpeg file but now im trying to find something that will convert that to dvd files??? i trialed the tmpgenc dvd author program but it says it cant read the files that tmpgenc xpress created??? okay... and when i finally got it to pull them up when converted to mpeg they look fantastic but as a dvd files they look terrible??? id like to use tmpgenc since it seems to do a awesome job quality wise even though it does take a long time.. but then i need to convert the mpeg out to dvd.vob's?? or is there a way to use imgburn to burn the new mpeg's to a dvd video disc??
  6. wow just tested tmpgenc express and man the quality blows convert x away the final picture was awesome.. but it only converts to mpeg.. ?? kinda sucks then i have to convert to dvd files then still burn imo a lot of work..
  7. im using convertxtodvd 3.0.0.9 now.. seems nice no issues but sometimes the picture is not great or nearly as nice as the avi, mpeg or divx file?? i read a lot of people say there is better out there.. what do you use and why??? id love to try some new ones. thanks in advance
  8. they are el-cheapo's we got at k-mart a couple years ago on black friday sale. only paid 14.99 for them and i bought three for the shop to use so i don't have to worry if they break. i may end up getting new ones but for now they work, i think they are like "digital" brand or something. yeah they are junk but they play any burned disc i have thrown at them so far.. even the remote has only a few buttons only the main ones like play stop etc.. these don't even have a subtitle button lol..cheapo's
  9. these players dont have that they are a bit older and they still work fine no reason to upgrade them now..
  10. awesome thanks i will try that tonight. really sucks to have to always check to makes sure the video is always playing... this will be great!!
  11. im going to the vob files with imgburn that i created. this is not from a production dvd. this is a self made one we run in our shop in the waiting room consisting of adverts from some of the companies we sell. id like to make it so i dont have to keep pushing the play button. is there any way to do this does anyone know?? any help would be awesome thanks..
  12. id like to know aside from not having a built in decoder is there really any difference now in using imgburn or burrrn for cd audio discs?? am i correct that really there is no differences aside from the built in deocders?? or am i wrong. i was using burrrn for a while and im thinking i dont need it anymore now. thank you
  13. well do you know the optiarc IS A LITE ON?.. to be exact its a lite on dh-20a3 drive. you can crossflash it to the liteon if you want to this solved a lot of issues i had with the optiarc drive (i have the exact same one) mine is now a liteon...and it burns better than it ever did as a optiarc see here for more info: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f86/how-crossflas...h-20a3x-235438/ even though it may be verbatim it could be the media / drive combo. if this turns out to be the issue you may be able to manually change the firmware for the media.. also on cdfreaks
  14. it would be awesome to have it but imo just as easy the way it is now that i know the program better, man i cant say thank you enough for making something like this.. i can say this program has got a heck of a work out that last few days. thanks again!!!!
  15. i think still cant believe this has so many options!!! perfect. thanks. the answer i was hoping for. that works great just tried it. thanks... now to play with some of the command line stuff..
  16. yeah if mine burn they will only do it at 4x..i have 4 drives and the same result with all 4.. (lite-on 20a3-s, sammy 203b, 203n, and pioneer 215)
  17. btw my choices of blanks have become much more limited since ive learned a lot.. verbatim. ty, and sometimes ritek are all i will use for dvd's anymore. i did score some dvd-r's at office depot that turned out some great burns though the arita brand honestly i didnt have one bad one out of 200 i bought.. cdr's imo doesnt matter much i have found by now they all burn pretty well the same except the really cheap no name brand junk. i buy staples or office depot brand for general purposes and verbatim's for audio since i want them to last a a while..
  18. MAXELL DISCS ARE junk!! i made the mistake of stocking up on them when they were cheap i have dvd-r's dvd+r's and mini dvd's for the camcorder and all of them are garbage i get maybe one good burn out of every 5-10 discs.. imo that is prob your issue. i have yet to have ingburn fail with about 9-10 different kinds of media so far it wil burn anything i throw at it EXCEPT those maxell's.... i officially threw them out ALL of them last night.. not worth the headache.. but agreed if you stand a chance with them slow them down to 4x that was the only way i could get anywhere with them with any burning program.. and trust me i tried them all
  19. i think still cant believe this has so many options!!! perfect. thanks. the answer i was hoping for.
  20. ok i do see the add to write option but if there are 2 drives will i have to manually click start after its done or is there setting to start the write automatically? and i do see the delete image after box also. thanks
  21. ah i see.. so no way to set it up to create a image to the drive then automatically burn to the other drive? or do i need to manually do it every time.. thanks for the fast response..
  22. i make a lot of disks with misc things on them like say pictures of our daughter we want to mail to family etc...or i have a band and we record at times and i want to send copies to family and or freinds.. can i do a direct 1:1 copy if i have 2 drives? and what about 1:1 audio cd's that we make?? and how does it work if there is one drive like say on a laptop.. i make a img first then find the img and re-burn it correct? will imgburn delete the file after its been used like nero did (does it cache it i guess is what i mean)? still learning everything this can do. thanks in advance
  23. lol my eyes are not as good as they used to be.... ill check out the readme. thanks... still would love more info on the other above questions or maybe point me to where i can find more info. thanks
  24. "Which box? The 'Source' box in build mode? Double click it or click the green arrow." also no i mean the whole program gui.. on my 17" wuxga its so tiny .. i made the mistake of getting this resolution and its sometimes drives me crazy.. thanks again
  25. wow thank you for the link i was looking for that exact thing. i can now use lame for mp3 decoding.. what i would like to know is how is your engine different from say nero or ashampoo (this even though simple simply burns anything i have thrown at it.. my now second fav i think) or others since a lot of them use built in codec's correct? is there any difference in the output of the files or audio being burned? im just wondering why (not at all questioning you about you methods just want more info) many many programs i see like star, gear pro etc.. take the mp3 and turn it into a wav on the hdd (and dont delete it after arghhhhhh) before burning to the cd as cd audio.. i used gear pro for a long time and have tried star from rocket among others that take forever to convert the mp3 first?? is this really needed? what benefit does it serve? i really always liked imgburn and was a long time dvd decrypt user so trust me i love your work no doubt.. just wondering why the differences and trying to learn more about these type of programs. i know ive asked a lot already and THANK YOU for being so patient.. one last thing is there a way to as i said have a more "simple" click and go interface... is there a way like with say gear i can write a one click command for this program. i was able to do that via a command line with gear so i was hoping maybe someone out there made something like this. otherwise ill have to leave something alse like ashampoo installed for her to use.. again THANK you for taking the time on this project.. i still can not believe a program this small can do what it does..
