  1. Thank you again, mmalves I really like when you respond to my posts, I can watch your profile photo for hours.....................very nice!
  2. I read allot that it is highly reccomended (for dual layer burns) to use Verbatim DVD+R DL (Singapore) and use 2.4x write speed to achieve best results. But, in my IMgBurn settings box, the slowest is 4x. does this mean my drive does not support the reccomended 2.4x? or can I do something to change it to 2.4x thank you!
  3. To answer my own questions,,,,,,,,,,,,, I did find the correct TS Video file, used that as the input source and now have many choices of layer breaks.
  4. I recently made some changes to my movie for use with a Dual Layer burn and disc. re-burned my ISO directly to the Virtual drive (I think?). now im trying to burn the ISO through ImgBurn. I need to go in and see all the layer break choices and im having trouble accessing them. I went to 'Build' switched to 'Device' and when i search for my virtual drive 'Video _TS' as input source , the only one I see is dated December 2007?? I am having trouble finding the virtual drive isoburn to use as input. I believe I found the virtual drive iso file , but when I attach it, then click on the calculator to open up the layer break options I get the following message; 'you've only selected 1 file and it looks like an image file. you're in build mode, are you sure you want to create a back up file of this image" what am I doing wrong?
  5. yes, i tried overwriting it with mydvd9, i've done that a few times before without any problems, but now it wont let me. the weird thing is, it let me do it the other day, without any problems. Update: I was just able to send it directly to the virtual drive location (instead of the desktop location) everything should be ok now......I hope ok. I went to do an IMGBurn of my new updated ISO, but when I select the ISO ,a message comes up saying I should have selected the MDS file, but the MDS file is of the old ISO from a few days ago. how do I go about updating the MDS file with the new ISO??

  7. I decided to go back and change some stuff in my movie, and re-burn a ISO to my desktop and go through the IMGBurn again, but : after I made my changes in MYDVD9 , I clicked burn, checked the ISO box (as i've done a few times before without any problems) and I get a message saying I can overwright the original ISO, ????? so I figured I should go out and delete the ISO from my desktop, but when I go to do so, I get the message ' cannot delete ,Image is being used by another person or program' can anyone tell me what to do , so I can: 1) re-burn my updated movie to an ISO on my desktop 2) then burn that ISO through IMGBurn thanks.

  10. ok did all that. Update; went back out to 'build mode' but not sure how to find the folder in the virtual drive to attach it. what and where to search? thanks. ??????? UPDATE UPDATE: found it, attached it and preparing for burn, it is giving me 12 choices for layer break, however all 12 are in the 'Average ' catagory is there a way by looking at some of those specs/numbers/locations listed to pick the best loaction for the layer break. thank you!
  11. thanks for the link. will try now.
  12. ok will do, but i think i need help. I just went to the Daemon link and wasnt sure what to click on / open/ or download thank you
  13. So if i just set a layer break (and live with the 1/2 second layer switch), and forget about the seamless option, it will have a much better chance of playing everywhere it is played without the chance of a hang up/freeze. again im burning 40 copies of this movie to give to family members, and who knows what they'll be playing it on. thank you very much!
  14. im wondering why this happened? did I do correct by selecting the chapter break & checking the seamless box? or are you supposed to do only one or the other? thanks for the reply
  15. using Imgburn. I just did a ISO to Disc burn and got this messge . it happened after the burn when it was going through the "varify sectors" I have a 7.37 Gb movie project, using verbatim DVD+R DL x2.4 (singapore) burning at 4x It only gave me 1 layer break to choose from @ 54/46, I selected that and checked seamless. Error report: I/O Error Revise 0:1:0 Scsi Status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check condition CDB: 28 00 00 00 6F 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector 28656 Sense area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 00 64 00 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: Illegal mode for this track then gives me the following options: Cancel / Try Again / Continue and the only thing it responds to is cancel Any idea what this means?? thank you
  16. Nope...just means it will play seamlessly in machines that use the same same system to handle layer breaks as yours does whats the worst thing that can happen. if I do the seamless and it is played in a machine that isnt up to date or doesnt support it? and what are we talking about here.................older dvd players sorry about so many questions, just learning here.
  17. What do you mean by handing out? when done this DVD is a gift to many family members. and I think I remember reading if you go seemless make sure it will play in your player. If I do a burn and it plays in my player without hang up, does that mean it will work flawlessly where ever its played? It is an ISO Image burn thanks
  18. How come i have no choice when it come to selecting where the layer break takes place. there is only 1 item on my list to choose from. it's near 54/46,,,,,,,,,,,,,no big deal I can live with it , just curious. when played back, is it normal to pause at this position for 1 sec. or is there a way to clean it up. should I try seemless? how well does that work? is it reliable? I will be handing many of my movies out to various people with various players, would I be taking a chance (of a hang up) if I went with seemless? thank you. This is a terrific product!
