so you tried using the automatic write speed and set it to 2.4x? You need to set write speed to automatic on that media after you add it too.

imgburn is just one program on your system. i suspect you have other problems that keeping a successful burn. Whats your hardware setup how many hard drive, optical drives do you have? Are you using any other add on controllers? can you burn non DL media?

You could try making a new administrator account and see if program install from the. Your account might be bugged If you install for all users program would work fine for all accounts then.

I miss the preview function in ONES that shows the folders size. It makes it much easier when making my DVDs to see when they are full. Would be nice if imgburn has a similar function. (hint hint)

Yes you should delete those filters Lightning UK recommended and I would do a reinstall of imgburn program and when it asks you if you want to keep your program settings say no then you can start from a clean slate program wise. I would also get a rewritable DVD so you can use it for testing until you get all the bugs out unless you prefer to keep making coasters for your friends

Are you using the write file/folders to disc option?

So do you have any malware, antivirus, spyware programs running while you do install? Also may need to use them to find malware that maybe causing the problem.

I like to see what the filter driver load order looks like for starters. Its under the Tools menu. You can use the copy button then paste results here.

IDE in general can have more problem with master slave conflict I believe. If theres no issue they should work fine

Sounds like you have issues with you system that interrupting your burns or controller issues where not using DMA. What the Filter Driver Load Order show in imgburn you can copy paste it here. Are you running the minimum programs in the background while your burning esp no antivirus/spyware programs? Also dont use the system while burning at least until you find the problem.

Sounds like a permission problem. Try uninstalling imgburn then delete the imgburn folder in progam files directory. Then see if you can do a reinstall.

book type mainly used to set DVD-ROM on DVD+R RW media to make it compatible with dvd player that read the booktype. If you set the book type on a DVD+R you can't change it as it write once media for that use.

some car cd player dont read burnt cd well what model is the player? how old is it?

I use the newest nvidia SATA drivers and I don't see any errors and I think those drivers are working fine.Your planning to release an updated imgburn that would handle these errors. What would make these errors appear?

from what I can understand you trying to set book type for a DVD+R or R/W but it shows your using a CD-RW profile so not sure why that is.

just reading dont see anything about you trying a slower burn

I recommend you try burning at 16x or lower and see if you still have a problem.

try right clicking on program icon and choose to run with an administrator account.

well i would def backup the system and the convert to NTFS file system by typing cmd in run to open a command prompt window. then if your using c: as drive you want to convert type convert c: /fs:ntfs and you will eliminate the fat 32 file size problems.

all this shows is you burned the dvd without error no info on the dvd player that wont use it.
