  1. I personally prefer doing things GUI style if the option is available.
  2. I like the reinstall method as it would replace any files that might be damaged and its a quick painless process.
  3. I used UltraISO it think its one of the best programs for CD/DVD building it does conversions as well and you can install its virtual CD/DVD drive to mount them. UltraISO Website
  4. Try reinstalling imgburn and when it ask you if you want to revert to the default setting say yes. Then see if you can get a good burn that way. You can always redo your setting later.
  5. So you need to make a data disk. Place all the mp3s and the cue file on it. Then launch the cue file from it. Or if you want to experment with an image make a .iso with the build first.
  6. What virtual CD-ROM program you using? I know I use Alcohol 52% Free Edition and you can mount cue files with it but I think the cue file you find with mp3 is to load a song list
  7. Drive is only 3 yrs old maybe more? Nah it couldn't be that Seriously you seem to know what could be problems so you should test those theories. I know I just replaced 2 1yr. old Samsung SH-203b drives as they wouldn't burn my Memorex DVD+R DL media at 8x with 2 Samsung SH-223Q drives. The drives are so cheap today if you do a lot of burning be worth it to upgrade anyways
  8. I must be psychic, I was betting the the OP was gonna get BLASTED by the BTE (Beta Team Members) before I read this post
  9. I would download and install Alcohol 52% Free Edition so can mount the .iso image to the emulated CD/DVD drive and see if theres any problem with the image. I use it a lot esp when testing a new iso making program to see if it works ok. Then if it working fine you can troubleshoot your burning setup next. Heres a link to Alcohol http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/
  10. Will Imgburn be supporting this in a future update?
  11. I tried it don't help. I want to be able to access the interface to change labels delete from last burn ect as I burn new files/folders. Works great as it is just have to keep setting it every time open/close program.
  12. I dredge this old topic up to see if there any chance your making a sticky stay on top option?
  13. your welcome aajr. If I come up with something else short of a reinstall will let you know
  14. so what versions are considered safe and which versions to avoid. Also using the generic driver removes this problem? standard ms ones are better on all my nforce boards [6.53 works ok for opticals nforce 3/4] I use a 680i chipset what best for it?
  15. so what versions are considered safe and which versions to avoid. Also using the generic driver removes this problem?
  16. Is it just the files you want from the dvd and not the whole dvd image? Just burn the files.
  17. did you log out of windows before you tried to get the log on box? well if that don't work you can just use the user accounts to make a new administrator account log on to it and try to install from there. maybe this link will help to setup a new admin account http://kb.iu.edu/data/arnd.html
  18. I have a simulator setup and was having problems until i changed write speed to 4x. It worked for the 1 DVD I had time to make will try more burns later.
  19. aajr use these instructions to log on to the built in administrator account. As long has you didn't set a password none will be needed. See if you can install imgburn from that account for all users http://www.2000trainers.com/windows-xp/acc...welcome-screen/
  20. Thats a strange problem you could try to uninstall from the account you using now. Then use the built in administrator account to see if it will install properly. As long as you do the install for all users you should be able to run program from any account if it works.
  21. Nothing is simple or easy with computers so be prepared to be disappointed a lot if you think they are!
  22. something is probably messed up in your registry setting for imgburn. Uninstall imgburn then goto these 2 keys in your registery and delete them and do a reboot. Then try a fresh install HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ImgBurn HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ImgBurn
  23. try unlocker at least you be able to see why its locked or it might let you move file http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
