Ok I found out the motherboard is ASUS P5B and I downloaded what I think is the latest driver and installed it but it didn't make a difference either.

I got the updated firmware for the drive but it still isn't formatting so it can burn. How do I find an updated driver for my motherboard's chipset?

It's a brand new disc. I've tried other discs as well and the same thing comes up. Thanks for the welcome.

I'm trying to burn a DVD to DVD+RW discs and it won't work with any program I try, with ImgBurn it won't even format it, what is wrong? Here is my log: I 19:44:55 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started!
