Hey LUK! Ok, so I am probably beating a dead horse here, but how about this question... Is there a way (or could this be a neat new feature?) to burn multiple ISO files to one single or dual layer DVD? What I mean is that say for example I have 6 different ISO files, all of them Live CDs, but I wanted to burn them all with ImgBurn to one single DVD, not as a data DVD, but as the images that each of those files represents. Is that even possible? I don't know, but that is why I defer to you, because if anyone could make something like that happen, it would definitely be you... Thanks for indulging me LUK! HmNtr

OK, so I have now downloaded Wine & will hopefully be able to use ImgBurn again...if not, then I will just have to re load my vista partition...thanks for the reply LUK!

hey LUK, Any idea if you will ever make a version of ImgBurn for Linux? I have recently switched to Mandriva Linux, and I miss using your software for burning every thing and any thing. I know I can probably try to make ImgBurn work with WINE, but I was just wondering if your software will ever be available for Linux... Thanks again Lightning UK for making such awesome software... Hey Lightning, I had checked the log as we have all mentioned, but the last thing that is in there is from last week, so it seems that even when something is started and then canceled, it does not appear in the log...is this a correct assumption? Now isn't the BUP file an identical backup of the IFO file? I thought I had read that some where... Thanks again for the quick reply Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. HmNtr

it is now all most eight hours later and for some reason the fixing vts sectors is still at 0%...strange...the files play fine on the computer, so I wonder what it is that makes the fixing vts sectors hang like that.... Would ImgBurn have a log of what it thinks the problem is and why it has hung for so long on this, or do you think this could be a bug that needs fixing? Regardless, I have to cancel it instead of seeing if it does anything so that I can pack up my laptop for work... Ok, so I have read the three posts from last year when others had encountered this problem, but I wanted to ask about it because the answers that I had read did not seem to be very illuminating... I had used an older, and now unsupported, piece of software to rip just the main movie from my DVD (The Covenant). I got one IFO and four VOB files. Further, I have an encoded audio stream (aif) and an extracted audio stream (ac3) outside of the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders in the folder which I had extracted the files to. With the five files (one IFO & four VOB files) in the folder it looks like it is 3.36 GBs in size. Then, when I go out to the AIF file, that is the same exact size as the complete VIDEO_TS folder, making for a total of package size of 6.79 GBs (with the AC3 file). When I tried to burn this movie with ImgBurn I encountered the FIX VTS error, and received the same error as most others, which states that ImgBurn could not find the VIDEO_TS.IFO file, and even when I renamed the solitary IFO file to reflect this change ImgBurn gives me the error of COULD NOT FIND VIDEO_TS.BUP, so I copy the IFO file and rename the extension to .BUP, and then go back and hit calculate again, and then it does not give me any error, it just says FIXING VTS SECTOR... Now what i would like to ask is how long does that process normally take to complete, because it's progress is still 0% after 30 minutes...? Also, I was wondering, with regards to the AC3 and the AIF files...would I have to convert one or both of those files to MP3 before being able to burn them as music with ImgBurn, or can ImgBurn understand that I would like to burn one of these files to just listen to it in my mobile CD Player at work? Hello again everyone, I wanted to ask a few questions about path depths in ImgBurn. I tried to burn a disc of folders and files (backups of my family tree websites and software) onto a dvd+r recently, and ImgBurn gave me the proverbial finger and stated that it could not burn paths deeper than 9 levels...I have too much data to lose any of the files associated with my family tree...is there any way to shut that feature off or a way to incorporate that function into one of the next releases of ImgBurn? well, the DVD from my uncle of grandfather's funeral and wake, and all sorts of geneaology stuff that he slapped onto a DVD for me. It has some old family movies that were converted from VHS to DVD and a bunch of family photos, and he said that I could play it in the DVD player, which does work, but I want to make a copy of it and send it to my dad so that he has a copy as well. as for read mode, yes sir... Hello, Just a quick question...when using ImgBurn to make a backup of my one of my data dvds for some reason, the image comes up as being over 7 GBs...is this just a bloatware on part of the DVD, maybe because of other languages and such on the DVD, or is it just the image size, and if I go ahead and burn the DVD with ImgBurn, will it render the DVD useless in a DVD player? Just had to ask...thanks... HmNtr

I had no idea about this previously, and have just read this for the first time...I am quite shocked and awed at how LUK was basically put out of business because of his programming ability for the predecessor to ImgBurn...I am humbled now to know the reasoning... LUK, thank you for making another wonderful program...I had only begun to use the predecessor a few months ago, when I finally broke down and bought a new laptop, because my other backup utilities were not capable of performing the functions that I needed them to any longer. Imagine my shock when I found the original website was down, and imagine more the shock when I found there was another freeware burning utility out there for my needs. I now know that in one of my first posts to this forum that I had made quite the faux paz when I had mentioned the predecessor to ImgBurn, and for that I am now very sorry... I am very thankful to you LUK, because with Vista on my new laptop, much of my software that I had previously purchased, back when I was originally running Windows 2000 Pro, does not work on Vista, including the original 700$ (USD) version of Adobe Acrobat that I had spent some of my original scholarship and grant money on... Now I have a wonderful program that I use to burn my files, and once more, I must say thank you... HmNtr

Ok, see, I was looking into the C:\program files\imgburn folder, I was looking in temp files, I was looking in all the hidden folders all over my pc, I NEVER thought to look INSIDE the program for the log file! DOH! OK, so I have been looking around, but cannot find the log file for the compilation that I had made...I am not sure if my AdAware or my Spybot S&D or any number of other back ground running programs has something to do with this, but if some one could tell me where it is that I might find the log file, that would be swell... Allow me to preface this reply by apologizing for the faux paz; since ImgBurn and DVDD are so similar, and have so many of the same functions, and indeed the same interface, I made an understandable social blunder... As for the brands that I am using....I am using the stock dvd burner that came on my HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop. As for the media which I am using, that would be FUJI FILM DVD+R (I have also tried it with -R)...there is no success as of yet... My primary concern is how do I take the IFO and the VOB files (which I have) and build them into a DVD on a standard player with ImgBurn? I created two folders; one entitled VIDEO_TS and one entitled AUDIO_TS. I placed the IFO and the VOB files within the VIDEO_TS folder. There were no files to place within the AUDIO_TS folder. I created an ISO image from the two folders, which I then burned successfully with ImgBurn. It does not play on any DVD player within my home. Is it that the media that I am using needs to be sys's like an old school floppy disk (e.g., Format A:\ /sys) or could it be that I am just not understanding ImgBurn? \ For the longest time, I was an avid NERO Burning ROM user, and I have since moved away from such nonsense, to something I think (once I understand it more) will be (for me) head and shoulders above the competition... Please help me to understand, because this is VERY frustrating.... Thank you all again in advance.

Hello everyone, Ok, so I see that there are a number of new users to this program/community, so I do not feel so bad now that I am having problems with the program... Here is my problem in a nutshell: I had recently transitioned to a laptop where I could actually not just read the DVDs, but also burn them...Now, I had been an avid user of DVD Decrypter, and loved how functional it was, and how quick the process was to make a backup of my DVDs. The problem is that I had never (until quite recently) needed to burn a DVD before, and now that I am trying to I am having some problems. Now I will be the first to admit that it could be user error, but that is why I am here, to see what it is that I am or am not doing, so that I can figure out how best to solve this problem. I had decrypted the DVD onto my hard drive into the .IFO and .VOB files. Now that I need to burn them, I had transitioned these files into a folder named VIDEO_TS, and had made a folder named AUDIO_TS, which is empty. I then used Ultra ISO to make these two folders into a .ISO file, and loaded my copy of ImgBurn. I attempted to burn the DVD, and when it was done it played some really neat music, but then the DVD would not play in my DVD player... Now I know that my DVD player can read/play CD/DVD +/-R/RW, MPG files, MP3, and even WMA and WMV, but for the life of me, this DVD did not play... So, my question: Is it user error, or is there something else that I should have done to make the movie recognizable in my DVD player... Any help would be greatly appreciated...my son is flipping out since his favorite movie got trashed, and honestly, I cannot afford to go rebuy a movie every time he uses it to skate across the tile floors....
