ISF Newbie

ISF Newbie (1/5)

  1. I have an eVGA 750i FTW board with an nvidia chipset but I'm using MS drivers already.. SATA ports 1 & 2 are RAID 0, 3 & 4 are IDE, and the drive is on the 4th port.
  2. There's a newer firmware SB02 available for your burner. Remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before applying the update. Reboot after it has finished. The discs you're using are rated for up to 8x burning speed, so you might get a better burn at 6x or 8x. The best Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks still are the 2.4x rated MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore ones. By the way, if you burn your Xbox 360 backups from the .dvd file you don't need to manually set the layerbreak to 1,913,760 as the .dvd file will tell ImgBurn where to place it Thanks for the quick reply mmalves. I updated my firmware, dunno how I missed it.. I rebooted the PC and set everything back to default in ImgBurn. I attempted a burn at 8X and the PC BSOD.. At that point I was at 3 MIS coasters. I tried it one more time running my PC at default clocks and it BSOD again. Luckily this time it didn't even get a chance to write to the disc. I then decided to attempt burning @ 2.4X again.. This time it made it all the way to the end, it even seemed like it was going to finalize.. and then: I 22:36:33 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 22:36:33 Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (5.2, Build 3790 : Service Pack 2) I 22:36:33 Total Physical Memory: 4,192,440 KB - Available: 3,571,320 KB I 22:36:33 Initialising SPTI... I 22:36:33 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 22:36:42 Found 1 DVD
  3. I've got one MIS coaster sitting here and another that will not finalize in the drive.. I just don't get it. This drive happens to be the highest rated dreve of 2008 over at cdfreaks.. This MIS media is oneo f the highest rated.. yet I get coasters. I'm not trying another until I have a better idea of whats happening.. Please help, otherwise I'm going to have to get a Pioneer DVR-216DBK in the morning. Here is my log: I 19:41:48 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
