So why does it work and allow me to burn Dual Layers when I couldn't before . Perhaps ignorance is Bliss

I had the same problem, I changed the Write Type to TAO, I have had no problems since.

I have the same drive and tried the higher speed and it still failed, I uninstalled SP3 and was able to burn a DL Disk.

I was having problems burning RiData DVD+R DL after I installed SP3 in my XP machine. This morning I uninstalled SP3 and I have just burned a DL disk with out any errors. Is this a known problem or is there a fix that allows SP3 to be installed. Thanks
