just tried 2.4x burn speed again 100% complete but stuck on 0% finalizing. my drive (tsstcorp ts-h552l) stops registering at the finalizing stage and i have to restart the computer to get the disc out. this happens with write speed 1x,2.4x,4x and 2 differnet types of DL discs (2.4x and 8X) any ideas? (o and no finalized failed anywhere in log)

Tried to set it to 2.4x? ya i tried 2.4x they get a cleaner burn on 1x and as far as the discs go i got one sucessful burn out of my second pack (bought at the same store and same packaging) and then 4 not working after.

ok thanks that helped me understand is but istill dont know how to fix it, i know ppl have done it on this drive type before but i cant seem to find out how. but ya thanks alot for your help guys

Your friend might have a more recent writer that likes new media codes better? anychance its just imgburn amd my drive arent compatable, would other free programs work?

ya 2.4x failed first my friend that uses the memorex's said he does 1x so i did that and nothing changed

i'm using memorex, my friend says they work fine for him. i'm pretty sure its something with my drive, but i cant figure it out

stops at about 94% of the finalize, cant do it manually when i try to burn an ISO to a dual layer a box pops up that says: finalise disc failed!
