what speed do you think is the best?

Hi can somebody tell me why do i get an i/o error when i verify the dvd and then when i put it in my xbox 360 it plays for 30 minutes and than it stop, i am using verbatim+ dl 8x speed here is my log 20:37:47 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! Hi can somebody tell me why is this happening i have SH-S202J SAMSUNG drive and when i am burning some things on verbatim dvd+r dl dvd it burns it without errors but when i take the dvd out from the drive i see circle scratches on the edge of dvd? please help
