  1. Are you dead sure...? I thought I managed to do it before, using only DVD shrink & ImgBurn... but now can't remember how I'm certainly not going to pay money for another program to do it any other suggestions? ta
  2. Sorry I've searched for existing guidance on this but haven't really found anything explicit. I understand I have to use Build mode. I want to write a single image made up of the contents of 2 short DVD videos. If I drag the AUDIO & VIDEO folders from the 1st disc onto the Build list, OK. But then when I try to do the same from the 2nd disc, it says "AUDIO already exists". Can I put the contents of the 2nd DVD's VIDEO folder into the existing VIDEO folder? Or do I have to make two main folders first, one for each disc, and then put the (4) folders onto the list, ie. 2 into each folder? Hope you can advise Thanks

  5. I do suspect the error is occurring only with this media (Philips) in conjunction with the external USB drive. The media works fine on a desktop PC at work, also with my video recorder. And Kodak discs continue to work OK with the USB drive. So.. presumably the media to buy now would be the same recommended in general elsewhere on this forum?
  6. thanks. sorry if you thought my question obvious. To a layman, it's not clear which of the following errors to search for: Potential 'ReadBufferCapacity' Deferred Error - The semaphore timeout period has expired. Failed to Write Sectors 32 - 63 - Reason: Not Ready To Ready Change - Medium May Have Changed
  7. Is there anything I can do, eg. try another disc from the same pack? What search term can I use to find info on web? thanks
  8. Hi guys, hope someone can advise. I'm still quite new to all this, so be gentle with me pls. :-> I never had probs with the pack of Kodak SL discs I used with my laptop & also TV's video recorder. Now I'm using Philips brand SL which are also fine with the video recorder, but the 1st DVD I've tried to backup with my laptop gives the following error: I 22:50:50 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 22:50:50 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 22:50:50 Total Physical Memory: 458,224 KB - Available: 125,656 KB I 22:50:50 Initialising SPTI... I 22:50:50 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 22:50:51 Found 1 DVD
