With my previous CD-Writer (an old Samsung RW 52x), I was writing on these CD-R at 4x or 8x without any problem, and they were readable everywhere (in my car, on my PCs etc...). Now that I have a "modern" DVD Writer, I can't set the burning speed anymore ?

Thanks for the answer. But is there a way to override the speed set by the drive ? Because the CD burned at 16x are unreadable on any other player, except from my PC, so I really would like to burn at a smaller speed.

Hi All, I want to burn some CD with a very small speed (like 2x or 4x) with ImgBurn. I do set the write speed to 2x in ImgBurn but the session ends within second and with a write rate of 16x like in this example : I 13:04:52 Destination Media Sectors: 335
