Hii guys, I'm kinda curious to how to use Imgburn to burn an ISO file.. To start it off with, when I double click Imgburn icon, which of the 6 choices do I choose? I'm guessing it should be either these 3: (but I'm uncertain) 1. Write Image file to Disc 2. Create Image file from files/folders 3. Create Image file from Disc Is it any one of these? And also what is the next step? thank you..

What if I download a blu-ray movie 780p on my desktop and I have a DVD-ROM and not blu-ray one.. would I be able to watch it then? or do I still need Blu-Ray drive And a compatible monitor to watch it or no?

As stated in the topic... Does imgburn have the capability of burning blu-ray discs? And also do I need a blu-ray drive in my desktop to play blu-ray discs? This may sound stupid...I apologize...but I just wanna know considering that I don't have a blu-ray drive in my pc and Am planning to burn blu-ray disc if possible... Thank you

I would most likely purchase an external burner eventho I have a desktop pc hope it wouldn't matter much, would it? And right after I posted the first log on this topic... I can't seem to burn anything at all I keep getting the error: Invalid address for write Unknown Vendor Unique.... and I was wondering if what mmalves said was right... that my burner is giving up on me/ starting to die? Another question, does the difference matters between internal burners and external burners.. like is one better than the other... or is it basically the same?

I successfully burned the dvd.... and before that I checked on the box " Verify" however, it doesn't fully verify it and I get and Error This is my log, I would like to know what the problem is... I did wonder if my drive was too old... as it is like 4 years old.. and for my firmware...where can I go to update it or so?...

I notice that when I enable it... right after the disc is ejected itself...it pops back in again.. and it seems like everything starts over again...like the burning process.. but that was when my DMA wasnt enabled I believe.. I'll try again and give it a try..thanks and btw verify wouldnt take that long would it? approximately how long would you think?

And one quick question when I burn... what is the tab verify do? should i always check it before I burn? like im not exactly sure what does it verify? thanks..

So everything's much better now and I started burning on Test Mode.. It was fine.. and then for the 'real' burning I havta say that the speed is much faster.. was at most 30 mins... much faster than usual..compared to like almost 2 hrs.. Ok, so here's the deal... Under Device Manager... I have : 2 Primary IDE Channel 2 Secondary IDE Channel 2 Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller Before, I checked that one of my Secondary IDE Channel Current Transfer Mode was on "PIO Mode" and after removing it and rebooting my computer... I finally got it to "Ultra DMA Mode 2" So Now in ONE my Primary IDE Channel this is what I have: Device 0 Device Type: Auto Detection (Cannot change) Transfer Mode: DMA if availabe Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 5 Device 1 Device Type: Auto Detection(Can change) Transfer Mode: DMA if available Current Transfer Mode: Not applicable and in my OTHER (One) of my Secondary IDE Channel this is what I have: Device 0 Device Type: Auto Detection (Cannot change) Transfer Mode: DMA if availabe Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 2 Device 1 Device Type: Auto Detection (Cannot change) Transfer Mode: DMA if availabe Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA Mode 2 So I was wondering if I still have any problems with enabling DMA before I start burning again.. I really dont wanna waste my discs with like trial and error...

I'm so sorry.. I meant drive* XD I'm also guessing that my drive doesn't like the media I'm using So I'll be testing it out with Verbatim to see what happens.. I'll post up the results too

I tried using SIW as you said... but its a hassle...havta go through many procedures.. and my computer is at least 4 years old so do you think that may be the problem to why I always fail burning.. I probably would have to get a new driver yea? my current one is HP DVD Writer 740b ED24

I read the FAQ.. and under my Device Manager I found my Primary and Secondary IDE channel not under IDE Controllers branch but under an unknown section The name of the section is "Unknown" (which I doubt really matter... does it?) And under that, I have 2 primary IDE controllers and 2 secondary IDE controllers and only the 1st primary controller of the 2 and the 2nd secondary controller of the 2 has a scroll under 'Transfer Mode' which was under the category of 'Advanced Setting' that gives me the option to choose "DMA if available" or "PIO Only" both my primary and secondary are on "DMA if available" The 'Transfer Mode' on my secondary IDE channel IS on DMA if available but the 'Current Transfer Mode' is on PIO mode Btw I have a Windows xp I'm a little lost to what I'm suppose to do now
