  1. You can count on that kev. I have a million and one guestions but dont want to look stupied when i ask for help. I cant even type without lookink at the keys lol.

Hey Life, no worries man, no one looks stupid when asking for help. Thats what forums are for. Just as linx05 wrote, Be careful about what you ask, unfortunately times are a changing. :ermm::thumbup:

  2. Life, don't think you offended anyone man, just hit a sore nerve thats all. Most of these peeps answering on this forum were part of another forum that was shut down and its owner ( and arthur of the forum program ) was put through, what I imagine, was a very bad time.

That forum and most of these peeps on this forum were helping others out with problems and answering questions somewhat like you were asking early on in this thread. They, as myself, just don't want what happened before to happen again. The arthur of IMGburn has become a friend to many of these peeps and they were and still are to a point upset about what happened to him. NO one wants this to happen again, hence the cold remarks and Blus' Large BLUE post a few posts back.

Hope you can understand and see where they;re coming from. Enjoy IMGburn for what it is, an excellent burn program.....

  3. I agree, DVDS is very fast, but by quality standards not up to snuff. As I've learned and viewed for myself on my big screen TV. Quality surely does reign over time. DVDRB and Pgcedit may take more TIME, but the QUALITY is far superior.

  4. Hey Blu, how are you and "H" doing? Finally fiqured out DILLIGAF !! Been busy with Kirk doing server stuff :whistling::whistling: . Hope the wedding goes off without a hitch. Will be in touch later with some q's about pgcedit, just a couple of things I need your opinoin on. Say hi to firey for me.....:drinks: Cheers.

    * made this thread go off topic as usual

  5. No probs Peter, Open discussions and opinoins are sometimes useful and help sort out questions and/or problems.......... Sorry I couldn't answer you any better....... :/

I do hear what your saying and understand but in the end it's up to the Author of IMG how this proggie will advance.

  6. Dwebtron, true but when you download a movie ( LoL I'm probably wrong on this one ) I think the movie is not encrypted hence no copy protection over ride. To rent a movie and burn it you have to first circumvent the protection on it, this is where the headaches are. A burning engine is just an avenue to place whatever onto blank media, where ripping is associated with copyright circumvention.

Christ, I hope I made sense here......... :P:D

  7. Mr Bitey, Yes Peters' question does have merit but under the circumstances of DVDD downfall and any guarantees ( if any were needed or so made ) to allow LUK to continue on developing the burning part of DVDD as IMG Burn, I don't think we'll see any option of an ISO generation facility on IMG.

DVDD and IMG can coincide togeather nicely so changes are we'll have to use DVDD to do ISO stuff and accept IMG as a strickly burning engine program. Unfortunate but perhaps factual. :(:/

This is just my own outlook and opinoin on this........ :)

  8. I know your legal problems.

As many software houses do, can you not release (and support) DVD Decrypter only for not protected DVD?

In other words, if you delete from DVD Decrypter all the code for decrypting CSS and ARCCOS you should be free to continue the development of DVD Decrypter without legal problems.

Imgburn is a very limited release of DVD Decrypter.

overpala, seems to me that is exactly what IMG is, DVDD stripped of it decrypting abilities, but with a much improved burn engine on both single layer and DL media. As LUK is hoping for, once they get a chance, other proggies will point to IMG to burn as an option with/without the option of DVDD as well.

Not knowing all legal issues that crept up during DVDD downfall, I can't comment but I'm sure LUK saw doing things this way in everybodys best interest. :)
