  2. Whenever I burn an image to a dual layer disc, it usually completes, I'll verify and that will also complete properly. however when I go to test out the disc in my console it sometimes isn't readable. When I first got this new laptop the first disc I used failed half way through, but the next 6 worked fine, but now I've just wasted a stack of 15 which all completed successfully, no errors were recorded in the log, no breaks or pauses except when I had to push the disc back in to verify the contents. My laptop is using a bc-5500s drive with firmware 1.C0 I'm not to sure how to update this as the support site for it only offers updates for firmware versions 1.01-1.04. The blank meda I'm turning into coasters is verbatim, memorex, and fugifilm, the last 15 I've wasted have been all verbatim's (made in singapore of course, sorry this isn't the issue this time). The problem is not just my xbox as I have tested these games on 3 other consoles and all have the exact same issue. not the mention that the xbox still works fine with the games it already has, the backups it already has and the new ones this laptop just made for it. there were about 6 images prior to the stack of 15 it wasted, so what I'm saying is, it was working right. I could try burning another image and posting the log but I'm really sick and tired of making coasters. is the log stored somewhere where I can go and bring it up?

  4. Alright, so I've been using imgburn for a few months now to burn xbox360 game images, which I obtained legally of course. Anyways, I've been buying whatever blank media have been on sale, which have been fujifilm and memorex. anyways this last time i went to pick up some DVD+R DL I saw that the verbatim's were on sale so I decided to pick them up. Now before I go any farther, yes, they're made in Singapore not india and these are the 8x. I've tried burning at 8x, 4x, 2.4x, as well as updating my burners firmware but nothing has stopped one of these dvd's from becoming an expensive coaster. The burn procedure completes fully every time, with no errors or problems noted in the imgburn log. It says complete, the tune plays I pop the dvd into my xbox and it says "play game" but it says the disc is damaged and can't be read, or maybe i should try cleaning it. Now why is it that all my previously burnt games, even one i burnt the morning before I switched to these new DVD's will work, but anything I put on verbatim media will not? ImgBurn version: 2.4.4.0 DVD Drive: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653L thanks guys! I 13:47:25 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! 5. Alright let me begin, I've been burning DVD+R DL's for about a month now. I've already gone through 15, and have had no problems. I'm using Fujifilm 2.4x DL DVD's which weren't cheap, now from everything I've read all I can see is that you recommend using verbatim discs but I really don't understand why or how this will solve my problem. I mean I was burning these discs perfectly fine, and now the last bunch in my spindle are just dead? I hardly believe that. I reset all my settings to default, that didn't work, I also reinstalled the program twice now and have yet to be able to get it to work. From what I've read on support forums, this issue is coming up a lot and there hasn't been any solid answer except update your firmware and get verbatim discs. this would make sense if the drive never worked to begin with but I've been burning these discs for a month already with no problems until the other day when I got this error. no matter what image I try now it still gives me this damn error. However, I'm wondering if maybe my error log will give some info on how to help me as I'd really like to start burning games again. From what I've read clonecd might work, but I have yet to try, I'll post my results when I get a chance to try it. Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
