  1. Why 16x? Why update the firmware? i have already done this once in the last couple of months i was on 1.09 before and upgraded to 1.15. In IMGBURN for that Media it says it can support 4x speed. I thought slower burning is better? Isnt there any settings i need to configure? Ok, i just reset the IMGBURN Settings to DEFAULT and tried burning again, now i am getting error message X Synchronise Cache Failed! 4. Hi, i am having problems burning images to CD-R's. I have had this problem as long as i can remember, there seems to be a problem with the write rate it starts up then shortly after while doing a Lead In it starts to reduce writew speed until it becomes 0/0 speed. At first i thought it was media, then i thought it was the drive's firmware, which it still could be but im sure it isnt. Its a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D firmware 1.15. It works absolutely stockingly fine for DVD-R's and DVD+R DL. Here's the log file of the error i get I 18:19:59 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! 5. Sorry for wasting people's time. i just hear that printable ones might crack or deterriate over time compared to the non printable verbs, its probably scaremongering tho isnt it? To be honest the price is no different for me between printable and non printable, i do however prefer the non printable because its reassuring to see the Verbatim Logo on them whereas the Printable ones, there's no way of telling. I guess, in the end, it comes down to own preferrence.

  9. Hi, can some people advise me on what is the very Best DVD+R DL media you can use? And also advice on what to go for with regards to Verbatim DVD+R DL MKM-003-00 (Printable) or the (Non Printable) ones from Singapore. tx.

  12. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again burning at 16x or 24x. Ok i will give it a go and keep this updated on whether i was successful at all.

  14. Cheers Cynthia, yeah i ran the Mode Verify again like you suggested, this time without AnyDVD running and didnt get any errors, so looks like it was the culprit. Thanks for your reply. I have a couple of questions tho? Can i leave verifying unticked if i wanted to after burning then run it @ a later date providing i still have source file? What is the difference? Should i update my Pioneer's firmware? i havnt had any problems so far? I have 1.09 firmware on it and it is the RPC 1 modified one, so im not inclined to go with Pioneers Official Firmware. Its unfortunate that the Pioneer DVR 112D doesnt have RPC 2 Firmware as i have heard that it is easier to keep region free.
  15. Hi, i have been getting Miscompare errors with my burns, was wondering what could be the cause? I noticed that i had WLMessenger running whilst i burned which is never a good idea, also my RAM usage was up around 75%. This is with using IMGBURN with Vista SP1 x86. Havnt got round to installing SP2 yet. Anyhow here is my Log. I 05:10:58 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started!
