burner is fine, it just will not except DL discs, tryed my brothers ACER Desktop, everything works fine, so im happy, its time for a new laptop soon anyways thanks for all your help guys

So, my drive is therefor incapable of burning DL discs .... ? It says that it can write DVD+R DL but cant write DVD-R DL? But i have a DVD+R DL in the disc tray ... so shouldnt it read? sorry if i have stupid questions, im a newbie if i cant get it to work, is my only option buying another drive that supports both -R and +R? can someone recommend one? thanks for all your help guys and gals

hello everyone, this is my first time posting, im a newbie, hopefully someone knows what my problem is. i am trying to back-up an xbox 360 game, but i cannot seem to get imgburn to work. i am using imgburn 2.4.2.0. and i have bought some Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8X i start the program up and choose the appropriete DVD file and then when i insert the blank DVD it says Disc Not Empty i tryed updating my firmware and uninstalling and re-installing imgburn and i made sure that my burner IS capable of burning DL discs, but nothing seems to work the only thing i can think of, is that maybe the discs are no good, cause i can use NERO to burn DVD's and CD's with no problems Here is the info from the window on the right side of imgburn...
