  1. I followed the guide for Vista (since I have Windows 7) but when I get to "Advanced Settings" in the "ATA Channel 0 Properties" I have absolutely nothing on "Devices", it's empty. I have a program that keeps defragging my hard disk whenever it is idle. So I don't think that's the problem.
  2. Your hard disk can't feed the burner fast enough. But that's weird... I have the same PC since May and this only started to happen weeks ago. Is there anything that can be interfering?
  3. Hello, Sometimes when I'm burning files or folders*** in Build mode (.avi videos for example) the burning speed starts to decrease till it reaches 0x. At this point if I move my mouse the burning process continues (the speed increases back to 4x), but also I think that if I don't do anything the burning starts again after some time*. The burning process sometimes pauses like 3 times and this causes the burning to take much more time. I haven't noticed any pauses when ImgBurn is verifying the files. The interesting thing is that the verification does not find errors and neither do I since all the videos** are playable and don't seem to have any lapses. Can you tell me why this is happening? *because sometimes when I get back to the PC I see the speed increasing from like 1x to 4x when there has been burned more than 50% of the files. ** when I burn other things like .rar/.zip files or any other files I find no errors or problems with them. *** When I burn DVD's I leave my PC alone. I even disconnect the internet and close any program that might "steal" resources from ImgBurn. OS: Windows 7 64 bits Drive: LG GH22NP20 Firmware version: 2.00 (the latest according to the updater which supports Windows 7) DVD's used: DVD-+R Verbatim Thank you for your help ImgBurn1.log
  4. Thanks for the information. Well, because I thought that burning at 2x/2.4x would be more secure, but mmalves has already said that burning at slow speeds won't give me a better burned DVD. Thank you for you support
  5. That's because your burner only supports burning that media at 4x. It did burn and verify fine though, so it shouldn't be an issue. What's the problem you're having? By the way, there's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). That's strange because in the manual it says the drive can burn at 2x and at 2.4x different types of DVDs... My problem is just that the speed changes from 2x/2.4x to 4x.
  6. Hi, I am using ImgBurn 2.5 and I'm having a problem with the write speed. I want to burn at 2x, so I choose in "Device"-->"Write Speed": "2x", but when the burning process starts, the writing speed goes up to "4x" and stays there. I have tried several brands like Memorex and Verbatim and several types: DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW and DVD+/-R DL and the same happened to all of them. My drive is a LG GH22 22x Internal Super Multi DVD Rewriter and has the latest firmware update. According to its specifications it can burn at 2x DVD-R/-RW and at 2.4x DVD+R/RW/+R DL. I also tried to burn DVD+R/RW at 2.4x, but the speed will stay at 4x instead of staying at 2.4x. Here's the log (I attached it also): I 03:02:07 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 03:02:07 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6002 : Service Pack 2) I 03:02:07 Total Physical Memory: 4.191.352 KB - Available: 2.237.748 KB W 03:02:07 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance. I 03:02:07 Initialising SPTI... I 03:02:07 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 03:02:07 Found 4 DVD-ROMs and 1 DVD ImgBurnlog2.log
