don't know why, but the BSMB is the latest firmware on the benq.ca website. I do not see there BSNB or BSNB. Are those ones official firmware upgrades or the "community" ones? I am asking because my drive is still under warranty so I would prefer to stay on the official firmware for now.

HI, I do have the same problem as virtuman. The burn process stops with the same error. Just to be sure Itried again but with 2.4x speed and still the software wasn't able to burn the image. Image was created by decrypter, as an ISO on my BENQ1640 BSMB firware. To avoid problems with the disk quality, I ordered a 10 Verbatim's DL from blankmedia.ca. here are the logs: 1. Just to maku sure that the burner is fine, I did copy of the same movie with clonedvd - the disk is fine, plays OK. Any help appreciated, yatzek.
