Now from this new thread: Did you notice it's the same error? And since you've cleaned the burner's lens and you are now using high quality media then everything points to your burner being broken "Reason: Invalid Address For Write" This never showed up on the log before. I've had this laptop for about 4 months, is it really that common for a burner to just break after such a short amount of time?

I have tried a cleaning disc already and it actually worked somewhat I was able to burn one movie and then no luck after that. I will go ahead and buy some new discs. Thank you for your time and advice. Kristin

Okay. You seem to always recommend the verbatims... do you think these are the ones i should go with as well? Also, is it just random that i've had such good luck with my previous discs and was able to burn more than 20 dvds?

Hello After searching through your site I have noticed that this is somewhat of a common problem. I have tried all the soulutions you guys have offered (updating firmware, using 4x and 8x speeds) the only one I haven't tried is trying new discs. I wanted to see if there are any other solutions before buying new discs. I have already burned 25 movies with these exact discs and this problem just happened recently. Below is a copy of one of the logs. Also I've noticed a common reason for this problem is that people are trying to use files bigger than what their discs offer, I have already shrunk my file and it seems to come out to exactly what my disc offers and was wondering if this was a problem.
