I would like to ask a basic question before I ask a deeper one. Now I have these 2 files: 1: "video.avi" 2: "video.srt" My comp has installed codec sw (K-Lite), so I can watch "video.avi" with subtitles (from "video.srt"). Question: How can I burn them into a DVD+RW with ImgBurn? How and by which method? P.S.: I must have the DVD compatible with PS3 player. According to the question above: If the only way OR one of the ways I can do is to simply burn the 2 files into DVD by using "write folder to disc", may I include >1 AVI with >1 SRT files? Maybe I give an example (doesn't mean I own them): In the DVD, we have 1: carracing2010.avi 2: carracing2010.srt 3: UglyBetty.avi 4: UglyBetty.srt 5: Xfile.avi 6: Xfile.srt (Here're totally 3 videos with their subtitles) My thought (if the only way OR one of the ways I can do is to simply burn the 2 files into DVD by using "write folder to disc"): As the name of the other AVI with SRT are different (e.g. video2.avi + video2.srt, video3.avi + video3.srt, XXX.avi + XXX.srt, etc), I think PS3 player can play specified AVI with specified SRT. Thanks for answering. Any comments are appreciated.

Hi all, I have some questions: 1) Is Win7 in ISO-13346 format? Is there ISO-9660 format of Win7 ? 2) It seems that ImgBurn lets all iso format be ISO-9660 and burn them, is this true? 3) If Win7 is in ISO-13346 format, once I burn it as ISO-9660, will sth be affected? (Not bootable for OLD computers, open file error occurs in Windows, etc) 4) How to choose specific ISO format to burn (if the answer for Question 2 is false)? Thanks for reading and answering my questions!

(A simple question which I don't think my log has to be posted.) Situation: I have been burning my file with ImgBurn several times (about 7~8 times), but it remains failed. What's in my file(folder) Two Microsoft products: First one: Office 2010 ProPlus (beta) x86 .exe Second one: Office 2010 ProPlus (beta) x64 .exe What's actually happening Every time, I burn these TWO files TOGETHER in a folder by using the method of "Write folder to disc". Writing to disc is fine, but a problem happens in vertifying process. A message about "I/O error, uncorrectable error" is shown. In my log, it indicates that my second file mentioned above (Office ... x64) has I/O error. Same error message appears when convert the whole folder into ISO file and burn it as ISO image. Something really special / goes wrong When I only burn ONE of the two exe files (for example: Office ... x86), nothing goes wrong. The operating system I'm using is 32-bit Windows XP, with Office 2010 PP (beta) installed. I know these don't matter, maybe problems come from the files. However, I have tried to download them several times again and again. I don't know what has gotten wrong, because I have been using ImgBurn for a few months and have burnt files/ISO more than 15 times. Of course, in these 15 times, problems didn't happen frequently (but just rarely). I solve the problems by burning the file/ISO again until I succeed every time. In my opinion, perhaps ImgBurn IT pro.s can try to download these two files for Microsoft official website and try to burn them into DVD. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/ee390818.aspx (P.S. "Office ... x86" is 32-bit format while "Office ... x64" is 64-bit format. (I renamed the two files so their file names stand for their format.) (PS: Later I use Alcohol to burn these two files and succeed, maybe sth wrong in ImgBurn program.)

What's the difference(s) between choosing "Device" and "Image file" in Output in "Write folder to disc" if I am burning a Operating system which is now a normal file format and must be bootable after burnt? What's "Extract boot image" from "Write folder to disc"? Which should I choose? Also, if I have an Operating system which in ISO format, I decompress it and it becomes a folder. Later, I paste something which is not in ISO format into this uncompressed file. As I don't know how to change the normal file format into ISO format, I use "write folder to disc" and select "Advanced"->"Bootable" disc and do everything mentioned in the "Burn Windows Vista / 7 bootable" post. Now, if I burn in this way, then use "Create image file from disc", how will it be? Will it helps me form ISO image file? If yes: but the original not-burnt file is an uncompressed normal file which is only changed into a bootable situation.

Hi guys, it's me again. You may have already seen the question I asked in: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12744 Actually, that was only "part A". There was the "part B" question: The story happened BEFORE Cynthia reply and AFTER I posted the "part A" question. I gave up burning Win7 OS into my empty "DVD-R (120min 4.7GB 1-8X)". I changed my DVD-R into another disc: MAXELL DVD+RW. It was noticed that the major difference between R and RW was only rewritable and non-rewritable. Then I did the same steps listed in "part A". Hopefully, there was no any error detected. The disc was then burnt and a window pop up and said "operating system XXX(something like 'built successfully')". What I expected was that an error would be detected once again but it didn't. This was the first "strange point (1/2)". Next, I restarted my computer. The END of the SECOND PAGE of the STARTUP process AFTER RESTARTING wrote: "searching for Boot record from CDROM..." (within 5 to 10 seconds, a new notice was created BELOW this notice) "CDBOOT: cannot boot from CD - code: 5" WHAT DOES IT MEAN??? WHY CAN'T MY DISC BE BOOTABLE??? I HAD FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTION ABOUT "BURNING A BOOTABLE WIN7 OS DISC" ALREADY. The next action I did was finding my old XP CD disc and Vista DVD disc which had been given by my firends (not OEM / not bought from the shop). The notice wrote at the same place when I restarted with my XP CD disc was: "searching for Boot record from CDROM..." "Pres any key to boot from CD..." The notice wrote at the same place when I restarted with my Vista DVD disc was: "searching for Boot record from CDROM..." "Pres any key to boot from CD or DVD..." Later, I put a programme disc: Ulead VideoStudio SE Basic. The notice wrote at the same place when I restarted with this programme disc was: "searching for Boot record from CDROM..." "searching for Boot record from IE-8 . OK" (something seemed to be like this) This was the second "strange point (2/2)". Why only the bootable OS installation disc I made was not BOOTABLE??? OR, was the ImgBurn programme treating me and it seemed that burning a bootable disc is so easy? (it's just my hypothesis!) Any other factors? (my computer's problem / my disc's problem / my file's problem) THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY INFORMATIVE REPLY!!! Oops... As here says: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11194 I have followed all the burning instructions posted by Lightning UK! but an error is found before burning the file into the disc which I think that it should not be happened after he says "That's it!". To ensure what I have done is the same as what those are posted, I include my steps in the burning process. 1. First of all, I put a disc into the computer. I checked that the disc is DVD-R but not RW(and of course not a CD). "Ready" is shown. 2. Second, I choose "Write files/folders to disc" on the homepage of ImgBurn.exe. 3. I include the whole Win7 file. I press "Advanced" --> "Bootable disc" --> [tick]Make Image Bootable --> NON (Custom) --> set the etfsboot.com --> enter ID: Microsoft Corporation --> 07C0 --> Sector to load: "8" as it's a Win7 but not a Vista(4) 4. The only thing that I have changed is the "Extract Boot Image". The original one which is selected is A: floopy but I change it to C: Local Disk. 5. Then I click "Burn". 6. Then "Yes" and set two names which are not too long. "Yes" --> Information confirmed and "OK". 7. "That's is it" and I eat "sheet" (just for fun). The disc is tried to burn for 20 times and AN ERROR IS DETECTED!! The error says: I/O Error! Device:[1:0:0]LITE-ON DVDRW LH-18A1P GL0C (F:) (ATA) ScsiStatus: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 0-31 Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 73 02 00 00 00 Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Is Full WHAT IS IT???
