Thanks Cynthia. How do I check to make sure the image was burnt as a -ROM? Is there a way to do it with IMGBurn? ... accidentally after I followed this guide... I forgot to restart my PC before I burnt the disk? I will probably need to reburn it eh?

I'd like to know if it is possible to change my Pioneer DVR-212D's booktype to -ROM. Do I need hacked firmware to do this? Currently my firmware version is 1.21. There is newer firmware available, but I am not sure if it's worth it to upgrade. I was reading the guide to changing booktype and it said: Also there are a few drives which aren't capable of booktyping/bitsetting at all out of the box...Pioneer drives being one make. What do I need to do to get my Pioneer to burn -ROMs. I am using Verbatim +R media.
