  1. I downloaded a piece of software called DVD Flick. I put in a couple .avi files and it proceeded to convert them into proper DVD format. Once it got to the burning part, it went to 99% and gave me this error. I/O Error! Device: [0:0:0] LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1693S KS0B (F:) (ATA) ScsiStatus 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 2A 00 00 1B F6 E0 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 1832672 - 1832703 Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0a 00 00 00 00 0c 00 00 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: Write Error Any help? I looked online for driver updates to my dvdrw drive, but I have the latest ones. Edit: I downloaded Imgur and attempted to make a dvd following a guide posted on another section of the board. It went to 100% success with no faults, but the cd says it doesn't have anything written on it. Here's the log: I 23:50:55 ImgBurn Version 2.5.2.0 started! 2. When I load the firmware in MCSE, it says: Thanks. On some other blanks I get: MCC 03RG20: Supported Write Speeds: 4x; 8x; 16x; 18x; 20x; 22x SONY 16D1: Supported Write Speeds: 4x; 8x; 16x; 18x Will try MCC 03RG20 at 22x. Thanks again for the support you gave me
  3. Can't find such a list Looks that changing writing speed is not supported by my burner. Is there a way to know the maximum writing speed for a given DVD-/+R on my burner WITHOUT burning it and checking the log file? Thanks for the time you take to reply to my questions

  5. I didn't keep the log. I'll try for the next burn.
  6. Hello, I just bought a new burner, a LG GH22NS50 that supports 22x burning speed. For my first burn I tried 22x. I set the burning speed to 22x. Media is EMTEC DVD-R 16x CMC MAG AM3 16. At the end of the disc (that was full) the burning speed was 15.8x Do I have to change a setting in imgburn (on my old Philips it was an advanced setting called overspeed) to allow speed faster than allowed by the media? Or it's just the burner "doesn't like" this media and can't go faster than 16x? Thanks.

  8. I tried to burn some ISOs but got that "Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found! (VTS_01) This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a double layer (OTP Track Path) disc. None of the cells meet the 'DVD-Video specification' criteria for a potential layer break position." error. So I extracted the files and rebuilt with ImgBurn selecting a layer break point. But the resulting iso is much larger than the original. The original was 6.64gb and the ImgBurn rebuilt iso is 7.62gb. I know the rebuilt iso will also fit on a DL but I'm just wondering the reason why or if I did anything wrong. Thanks for any info.
