  1. It still burns normal single layered memorex discs, but not DL discs. That wouldn't be a cause of the drive not being clean, would it?
  2. I've tried 8x 6x 4x and 2.4x and no succcess yet. Gone through 11 memorex DVD+R DL discs... Think I'm done trying. Where would I get a lens cleaner disc at? Or how would I create one?
  3. Here is my log, I tried doing it for the 2nd time today, and I believe the logs look the same, invalid write address still...
  4. After downloading the firmware you provided the burn got farther then it did previously, still didn't work. Due to the computer I burn on being occupied by someone other then me, I can't post a log since its not on my computer. Probably going to give up and have my friend burn it for me on his month old windows 7 labtop. Hopefully his dvd drive will be more up to date and not have any problems.
  5. Your best bet would be to use Verbatim discs. I know they are more expensive, but they run more smoothly on all dvd drives. Should solve your problem. And if you are using Verbatim's I have no idea what your problem could be.
  6. That "Disc ID: MDIPG101-R10-65" is for my dvd drive, not my dvd+r DL discs, correct? You said Disc ID which leads me to think now you are talking about my memorex DL DVD+R 8.5G disc.
  7. Thanks Cynthia, just downloaded the new firmware for my drive. Hopefully that will fix. I'll have to try tomorrow night, getting late and a force restart of my computer. Will update after I try again tomorrow night. EDIT: What do you mean by "my burner doesn't seem to like that media code very much?" You mean like the firmware version?
  8. Well, as I've read and heard I pretty much understand getting the Verbatim 2.4x 8.5G DL discs are much worth it. I bought a 25-pack of memorex before I realized how true this statement is. But Since I have about 18 memorex DL discs left, is there anything I could try before moving to the Verbatim discs? I have no intent to use these discs for any other reason at this particular moment then to backup one of my xbox 360 games. I would go spend the extra $10 for some Verbatim discs that will definately work, but I want to make sure this will atleast make sure it burns right. Without further ado, here is my log: Please provide me with any advice or knowledge you have on these errors. Would be well appreciated. Also, if I have a bad iso file, would it prevent me from burning it? Or would it just prevent me from ingame (on the xbox) errors? I am more concerned about being able to burn this, once I can get it burned I will worry about getting it to work on the 360.
  9. Ok, will try to get it to work on another burner, either my friends or familys...
  10. http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx110/Gostangly/ImgBurnerror1.jpg This is What I am getting. This is shortly after I ejected and injected the blank media Memorex 8.5g DL DVD+R 8x.
  11. Heres my log: I 14:13:40 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 14:13:40 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 14:13:40 Total Physical Memory: 1,046,620 KB - Available: 481,288 KB I 14:13:40 Initialising SPTI... I 14:13:40 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 14:13:40 Found 1 CD-RW and 1 DVD±RW! I don't have a dual layer disc burned yet, so reading it just shows nothing...
  12. If it supports DL burning, why am I getting that error? It's not recognizing the media I have it. Is there any other variations I could try besides buying new discs? Might try and use a friends DVD Burner since his computer is only a month or 2 old. But would still enjoy being able to get it to work on my computer with my burner. Not sure if BestBuy will let me return opened unrewritable DL discs... You know what I mean?
  13. Well trying to burn a modded xbox360 game file to a Memorex x8 Dual Layer 8.5g DVD disc. At the bottom when I insert a disc into my computer it says "Logical Unit is in process of becoming ready". Then shortly after it says "Medium not Present". I will give you my driver information and can you guys tell me what a solution is to this? I'm not exactly sure why its not working, could be that my DVD drive dones't have the capabillity to burn DL discs. DVD Driver: HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B E113(ATA) http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx110/Gostangly/ImgBurnerror.jpg Can anybody help me out with some links to scan and se if my driver is up to date as well as I'm using the right discs? Thanks in advance.
