I have recently had perhaps an inevitable occurrence with having children. One of my favorite games for my XBOX 360 happened to get into my 2 year old's grasp while my wife was doing some cleaning while I was at work. Needless to say, a big gouge in the disc has made me quite upset, and has also made the disc inoperable. I therefore have decided to try to make backups of my remaining games. I have seen several posts regarding this as impossible to do, yet I still have questions. I have made copies onto my computer using the original game discs I have, and here comes the problem I am having. After the disc is read, I am given 2 files. The ISO file, and also a MDS file. However, when I go to write to a disc, I have tried several options. One is to just use the ISO, another time I used both the file types. Each time I did this, and placed the disc in my 360, I got an error message from my XBOX that reads "Please place this disc in an XBOX 360 console", or something to that effect. Also I have been using regular DVD-R's to do this thus far. Also, when I selected both the ISO file and the MDS file together to write to the disc, ImgBurn tells me after I do the burn to place a second disc in the drive to burn the image??? So today I bought some Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL discs. However, I am unsure as to which guide i want to use from this forums, or perhaps my XBOX is unable to play backups as Lightning stated here: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200 And again, I am sorry if I am asking a question that has already been answered. I am new here as this is my first post. Thank you to anyone that gives advice here, and I am always open to constructive criticism as well!!!
