  2. Hi, just got a new computer with a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSH492B TB06 (ATA) combo drive.   3. its ok now thanks, got everything sorted, the final hurdle was that the burner wasnt recognising that the disc i inserted was a dvd+rw. it kept saying i had a dvd-rw. So i set about changing the book type via the burners' support website. thanks anyway

  7. i have just noticed the "dvd-rw" on your quote, but i dont own any dvd-rw's! my girlfriend is coming home from work and she is gonna pick me up some new ones. i'll give those a whirl!!
  8. right, that has brought the drive status back onto nero, but im still having the same problems with the writing and erasing of the dvd+rw's!
  9. yeah, it does show up in imgburn, i will still try a reboot. i will try anything at the moment its really starting to p*** me off!
  10. i have another problem, when i go into nero toolkit/nero drive speed, on the drop down list of the available drives, my dvd drive is no longer there!! its still there on the 'my computer' screen. also when go into nero toolkit/drive speed. it comes up with an error when i try to run that too.!!!
  11. my discs are re-writable, i have Dvd+rw. arent they the right ones?
  12. when you say "RW's" you do mean cd's? i know it maybe sounds a silly question but i am a novice! i have actually tried more than one and it happens everytime.

  15. yeah, i went ahead with the burn process a couple of times and it only got to about 22% then stopped. just got my new firmare installed, gonna have a another go at a full erase.
