  2. its ok now thanks, got everything sorted, the final hurdle was that the burner wasnt recognising that the disc i inserted was a dvd+rw. it kept saying i had a dvd-rw. So i set about changing the book type via the burners' support website.

    thanks anyway

  9. When i go to 'browse' for the source file there is just one file i think,

What is the file ext. of this file? Eg. .iso .bin .txt etc.

And how did you create it? what software did you use?

hi, i used dvd shrink 3.2 and its an .MDS file.

the problem i think i have is when i format the disk through imgburn, it finishes formatting then when i go to burn it, it pops up and tells me there is almost no space available on the disk, i think thats where the main problem is. All i am doing is testing out this software with a short film.

when i tried again last night, in dvd shrink, instead of having the compression setting at automatic, i set it at custom, so i shrunk the file even lower, so the had to be enough space on a totally empty disk.

  10. hi, im pretty new to this so go steady on me!

Just got imgburn downloaded and im having a problem with my disc formatting.

I have a btc 8x dvdrw ide 1008 burner. when i place a new datawrite dvd+rw disc in the drive, imgburn says i need to format the blank disc, which i then do. The format completes but when i go to start the burn it says "i may not have enough space a my disc, do i want to carry on anyway?"

The blank discs are 4.7Gb and im pretty sure the film isnt bigger than that!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Carl
