  1. I was wondering why Booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM never is perminant? Everytime I turn on my Computer I have to change the Booktype again. I have an OLD LG GH22LP20 which Booktyped on its own without doing a single thing. My GH22NS50 and GH24LS70 do not Booktype on their own. do you know of anyway to make booktype settings to DVD-ROM perminant. Of course if I am using Img Burn to Burn to a DVD+R it Booktypes by Default but I have other software that does not book type so I have to change the booktype within IMGBURN and then RUN the other program to get the disc booktyped to DVD-ROM
  2. So do you know when you'll be releasing an update to imgburn? is there a schedule you follow for releasing updates? Are You (LIGHTNING UK!) The only person who creates IMGBURN? Do you have a Release Notes Text Document somewhere on the website. To see what has been fixed and what still needs to be fix? I downloaded IMGBurn on my Parents Laptop. I was wondering Do I have to create an ISO of one Disc before I can copy it to another disc. I like recommending your program but some people don't understand the whole ISO thing. They rather just put in one disc click Copy and then wait for it to prompt to insert blank and press continue. If your making a lot of copies of a disc an ISO is perfect. its also perfect when you have a program called VLC media player since it can play a movie in ISO format no problem. its good for people who like to store movies on a Server and have access to those movies from anywhere in the home.
  3. Thanks Man! I do Love your Program.
  4. Create Image Layout File is set to AUTO. CUE is Checked by Gray-ed out and MDS is checked but I didn't check it I didn't change any settings. I do not have a BD-ROM or BD Burner. Only a Single DVD Burner. The Disc contains a DVD video which plays in DVD player All I know is ever since I downloaded this program which has been years its always created .mds
  5. Again with mds checked it created a .mds file with the same name as the ISO file which I just called Test.ISO I tried to post the .mds file as an attachment but the forum wouldn't allow me

  7. MDS was definitely Checked after I made the ISO I noticed the MDS that's why I asked about its importance. I have since went into the settings and unchecked MDS under the Read Tab. so should I go back in and recheck MDS and create another ISO?

  9. I do want to buy some of those optical quantum Dual Layer Media. Since they use AZO Dye which is what makes Verbatim DVDs High Quality. Everyone should know to look for the AZO logo on the packaging else they discs are CMC even though they have Verbatim Branding.
  10. I really have no idea. Not sure what file splitting is. I could see if a file had to be split between two layers on a DVD. That's all that comes to mind when I hear the word file splitting
  11. Once I have an ISO file I use it to write onto another DVD. At the moment I am only doing Single Layer DVD to Single Layer.
  12. So if I turn mds files off will I get error messages. how will it effect the way the program works
  13. I just noticed your article on problems with dual layer media and you have a list of stores you can purchase from. I am from Canada and buy my media at www.blankmedia.ca They sell Taiyo Yuden Now Called JVC. they sell this Dual layer Optical Quantum Media that says it uses the same AZO DYE as Verbatim DVD+R DL OPTICAL QUANTUM 8X WHITE THERMAL EVEREST HUB 50 PCS SKU: OQDPRDL08WTP-E DVD+R Double Layer nearly doubles the storage capacity of a standard DVD with two AZO recording layers on a single-sided disc. With the added capacity, DVD+R DL media is the preferred DVD media for video and gaming developers. In fact most Hollywood movies and Video Games for consoles like X-Box are developed on 8.5GB Double Layer discs, whereby the Optical Quantum DVD+R DL discs are often used by professionals in these fields when making copies for internal use. Optical Quantum's DVD+R DL discs provide exceptional performance, reliability, and compatibility. Certified and supported by the industries high speed Double Layer writers, Optical Quantum discs are approved for high speed burning up to 8X speeds with a storage capacity of 8.5GBs. Since the thread was Locked I couldn't add this comment to that thread
  14. Hello, I wanted to know why when ever I create an ISO I get this second file called .mds why does image burn create this file. what happens if I delete it? Sometimes I will use the Build option instead of Create Image from disc just so I don't get the .mds file. If its useless can you remove stop it from being created in the next update to ImgBurn. Thanks
  15. I am burning a Video_ts Folder to a dvd I have defragmented my hard drive several times even though fragmentation was only 2% I have Microsoft Security Essentials as my Anti Virus.
  16. All I was doing was surfing and reading articles Now a days pretty much every website contains alot of advertisements and flash.
  17. I would say that I have a computer that isn't a slouch. Windows 7 64bit 4GB DDR2 800 Core 2 Quad Q8400 500GB 7200RPM LG GH22NS50 GeForce 9800 GT I am so confused why I can't burn files to a DVD using the Build mode with out constantly getting these Yellow Triangles W 22:52:43 Waiting for buffers to recover... (LBA: 377440) W 22:52:46 Waiting for hard disk activity to reach threshold level... Shouldn't I be able to do other things while writing files to a disc. all I am trying to do is surf the internet. I slowed my Burn speed down to 4x that was working previously but now every time I change pages I get those two warnings I am pretty confused. I actually started copying data to a DVD and left my computer idle and when I came back I had 3 sets of those two warnings. Could my Burners Internal Cache be toast? can you explain why this happens.
  18. Thanks! That's what I wanted! I tried to give you positive feed back but it didn't work. I haven't gave any positive feedback today yet it says I reached my Limit
  19. I Have previously used the build function to turn video_ts files into ISO. Now I use the write image to DVD. I would like to know how to save the Eject DVD at the end of the write and verify. I went to settings and write and ten page 2 and thought I checked the write option but its not working
  20. Your suggestion worked. I just had to open up IMGBURN and press the play button under sound tab and it appeared then I was able to lower the volume. thanks you've been really helpful
  21. I've looked around in the control panel I can't see IMGBURN Sound controls. Inside IMGBURN I was able to turn off the success sounds. but if I could I'd like to just make it half the volume of everything else.
  22. I have windows 7 I've only had it since july 30th. when I look at my system tray beside my clock I don't see sound app. I do see the speaker which allows me to control the main speaker volume. I also know how to control specific windows 7 sounds but not third party applications. One of the first things I did was Turn off that stupid clicking that happens in explorer and IE when you click on something or start navigation. Do you have any more specific details for me. Thanks for the First reply. That was really quick.
  23. I would like to see a volume control so I can turn down the sound of a success and error after burning. I don't like having my music loud and then hearing those two sounds loud. I'd like to be able to make those sound quite just loud enough to hear them but not full volume like my music.
  24. I just copied a bunch of pictures and videos of my parents SD cards on to my hard drive. I wanted to use image burn to burn the files to a DVD. I selected the Files to DVD option and then I get this error message that won't go away. No matter what button I press the error just keeps refreshing its self. I end up having to use Task Manager and End Tasking the Program. I don't know what disc it is talking about. I have a Blank DVD in the drive I only have one DVD Drive.
  25. Hey I have a question. If I use the READ function to create a ISO from unencrypted DVD it creates a MDS file yet if I use the BUILD function it creates just an ISO with no extra file. what is the MDS file used for anyway? can it be deleted? what happens if I do
