  1. My apologies on not answering. I misunderstook, I think. If I understand your question about what is on them ... content? Most are home movies (a birthday party, baby shower), original format is .mts or .mt2s. others are flv vids (like an interview from CNN), or someone speaking, etc. If your question was file types, the resulting folder where DeVeDe places the iso just has the iso. I don't see any of the other types of files/folders that resulted with DVD Flick. When I put the disk in my DVD player on my laptop and look at it through Windows Explorer, then I see the Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. Does that help. For DeVeDe, I used the standard default settings upon selecting ntsc. the running time of the video test was 24:05. If I understand your point on filling the disc, DVD Flick will take advantage of as much space as possible to maximize quality. However, if I put more files on it, then DVD Flick will adjust the resulting file size ("compress: the files?), or reduce the file size to fit them on, thus reducing quality? Did I ask that correctly, or restate it correctly? Thank you.
  2. I've been using Virtual Clone to see if the burn worked. And Virtual works. As does playing the burned DVD on my laptop's DVD drive. It only has problems on a regular (non PC) DVD player attached to a tv. The movies original format are home movies, downloaded FLV files, etc. The home movies are either native mpeg or the new HD format on my panasonic camera (AVCHD lite?). An interesting observation, I just tested a 54.MB file with DeVeDe and DVD Flick. The DeVeDe iso file size is 66MB and the resulting file from DVD Flick is 1.5Gb. Both mounted and played fine with Virtual Clone. Any idea on the file size difference? That is a huge difference. Thanks!
  3. Kind of what I was thinking but I'm clueless here. I know this isn't your product but any wild guesses what I've changed or am doing wrong? I've also reached out to DeVeDe. Thanks! I'll also check out dvd flick.
  4. thanks for the reply. More info is always better. They're not full videos. Range in length from 20 minutes to 35 minutes. Total ISO size is 3.9Gb. When I mount the ISO image as a virtual drive, I can play it on the laptop. In know this sounds like a dumb answer, but I've been burning movies this way for a while. I don't know what changed as I can't recall if I've upgraded either DeVeDe or IMGBURN recently. I don't have such files in the folder because DeVeDe is making the ISO. Once it creates the ISO, the files you refer to are gone. To the best of my knowledge, those files always disappeared once the iso was created. Then, I would use IMGBURN to write the resulting ISO to the the disc. Found the older logs. Thanks for pointing that out. They are attached. I hope I extracted the rt stuff. Do you think this is a DeVeDe issue or IMGBURN? Any idea what I changed? Thanks. ImgBurn.log
  5. I don't know if I'm reaching to the right forum to solve my problem. If I am, then I will burn another DVD so I can provide the log (I didn't save the log because I ASSumed it burned correctly. I’m sure I’m just making some stupid basic mistake. I’m trying to burn a DVD for play on my home DVD players, like I’ve done successfully before with DeVeDE and IMGBURN. Now, the discs don't play. Everything seems to work fine, no errors, etc. I can play both the iso image and the actual physical DVD on my laptop. However, I cannot play it on any of my 3 home DVD players (Sony, Panasonic and a $30 generic player). In all three players, I can see the menu that is created. The problems don’t result until I choose a movie title. - One DVD player gives me an error due to geographic restrictions (I’m in the US and selected NTSC as the option). - The other two players start the movies (there are 6 on the DVD) and I can hear the sound. However, the video looks like an old tv when we used to have to adjust the horizontal or vertical holds (I hope that makes sense). I’m running DeVeDe 3.16.9 and using IMGBURN 2.5.2.0, and Win7 64 bit. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your time, and thank you for your patience for giving me instructions as to my next step since I don't yet have the log (which i will gladly create tonight).
