I would like to be able to optimize my ISO images so that when there are multiple copies of the same file (or if sector-sized fragments of these files are identical) that the data only be stored once;
There are commercial products that may have this feature (gBurner/PowerISO, some other thing) however I am comfortable with ImgBurn; and it would be easier for others if they could open the disc and navigate natively instead of opening a 4 gig archive file (or if I kept up my backup and working directories seperate...)
I do realise that this type of 'optimization' would require a significant amount of time while sectors are indexed, analyzed, compared and file tables are mutated and the image rebuilt.
