  1. Follow up: I got hold of some Panasonic discs, type Matsushita M01J3004. All the problems have gone away. The 112 reads, writes and erases OK in ImgBurn and everything seems much smoother. Won't need DVDForm now. I obviously doesn't pay to buy cheap DVD-RAM discs. Thanks to everyone for the help.
  2. I notice that you're erase only took 24 minutes. I think I'll get some better disks. I only use them for backup purposes so I don't need so many of them.
  3. Yes, the list isn't very long. I am using the 1.22 firmware, but I don't know if that supports more types or not. Writing has not been a problem with the Ritek disks I'm using. Never failed verify either. Only problem has been trying to erase. I'll avoid that for now and just delete files.
  4. Fixed it! Took three attempts at formatting with DVDFORM before it went all the way through. Each time got a little bit further. Final format took 58 minutes. Think I'll avoid erasing disks in future. Thanks for all the help.
  5. Oh I see, I didn't realise you could do that with a windows installer. Got it and started format. Hope for the best.
  6. Thanks, but it won't let me install. Says "the disk drive for the setup cannot be found - error 071" I think it probably doesn't recognise the Pioneer. Installer says it's for Blu-ray.
  7. Spares option didn't work. I'll have a hunt to see if I can find the Panasonic DVDFORM tool and try that. Thanks.
  8. Failed again. Got to about 20% this time. Log attached.ImgBurn.log
  9. Interestingly, it is now allowing me to repeat the erase now. It's going to take a while. I'll post the log when it finishes.
  10. Tried to write a disk image to it using "write" but it just reports "media format corrupted" I think if finished prematurely because when I last looked it had 10% finished and then shortly afterwards it just stopped. Looking at the surface of the disk it appears to be 10% written by the colour difference.
  11. It doesn't even see the disk in the drive now.
  12. Tried to erase a DVD-RAM on a Pioneer 112 with imageburn. Process ended prematurely without error message and now the media shows as corrupt. Is there any way I can repair this disk or is it a throwaway? Maybe I shouldn't have used erase disk on this type of media?
  13. Oh, OK. Anyway the disk works, so not so bad. )
  14. I have just had a data zone capacity miscompare. I would be interested to know what went wrong. Disk was backed up with AnyDVD and I used vobblanker to remove one item I didn't need. Hardware is Athlon 64 3800 dual core on MSI K8N Diamond motherboard. 1 Gb RAM. Burnt on Pioneer 111D with original 1.23 firmware. Here is the log: I 16:35:13 ImgBurn Version 2.0.0.0 started!
