  1. Hi, I installed a new DVD writer and I want to know how to reset Imgburn statistics to 0 burns, so I would know how many burns I made with the new writer. Thank, M
  2. Hi, I am back I installed Alcohol120% Trial and I burned 3 dvds with it and they worked all fine. Could this be possible or it's a coincidence? I mean if that was the problem, what is wrong with DVDfab and ImgBurn? But maybe when I burn more dvds they will skip and freeze again, who knows?!!! But even the graphs of Alcohol they look very good. First, I burned 1 with Alcohol and worked fine and it looked like this: Alcohol Then I burned one with ImgBurn and it freezed and it looked like this: ImgBurn Then I burned another 2 with Alcohol and worked fine and looked like these: Alcohol Alcohol
  3. This is screenshot of the burn from the pendrive, there is more red but this one doesn't skip!
  4. This is screenshot of the burn from the hardisk
  5. I discovered something very important... I burned a file from the pendrive and it doesn't skip, then I burned the same file from the hardisk and it is skipping as before.
  6. I already got verbatim discs with same problem, remember?
  7. Here is another opti drive control screenshot of my latest disc quality test and it looks bad !!!!!
  8. I got rid of old stuff and got it to 25% free space, I ran the system cleanup and then ran the disk defragment program, I tried all different speeds, different media and I still got the problem. Now I really don't know what to do next!
  9. Ok thanks I will burn @ 16x. I also found this topic with the problem exactly as mine, could this really solve my problem? <<<<I had the exact same problem. I even went and bought a new burner. Same problem. I switched to dvd-r, same problem. I bought a new dvd player, same problem. Now, here is what I ended up doing and it FIXED the skipping. First, I had way to much stuff on my computer. I was down to less that 5% free disk on my hard drive. I got rid of a lot of old stuff and got it to 50% free space. You can not run a proper disk defragmentation with less that 15% free space. So, after I cleaned off a lot of stuff (I moved a lot of it to my backup drive) I ran the system cleanup and then ran the disk defragment program (it ran for several hours). I do not have the skipping problem anymore. Also, I use top of the line blanks. Usually Verbottum dvd-r at 2x speed. The high speeds like 16x increase the chance of skipping. And the cost really isn't that different, especially if you consider the fact that you are having to trash less disks due to burning errors. Hope this helps>>>>>
  10. Here is Opti Drive Control screenshot of 16x And here is Opti Drive Control screenshot of 8x
  11. Ok here are ImgBurn's Discovery mode logs from both: The only problem is that I used Maxell DVD-r instead of Verbatim because I dont have any left. 12. Ok here below I posted the imgburn verify log of the previous burn. In the mean-time what I cannot understand is: <<<<<that drive should be supported by Opti Drive Control for Disc Quality scanning. Give it a try and scan the disc at 4x. And where and how can I take a screenshot of the scan? >>>>>Do the new discs you say are skipping still skip if you play them on the PC? On the PC no skips. >>>>> Maybe it's a problem with what you're burning. I've been burning many different movies such as from original and from other dvd copies and as well downloaded ones. 14. From which website I can buy some Verbatim+R disc ID MCC? Should be shipping to Europe. And +R right? Hmmm I always thought that -R is better and readable by most of DVD players out-there!
  15. I cleaned the dvdplayer and still having the problem. Regarding Verbatim discs I don't have any but again I am sure that the problem is not The discs because they never gave me trouble before and I am using the same discs. And I tried the discs on another diffenent dvd player and they still skips and freeze so it is not my dvdplayer as well. How can I check if the dvd writer is good?
  16. I tried all speeds but still having the problem.
  17. I didn't clean the laser yet and I will do it tomorrow cos I dont have a cleaner. But I believe that the laser is not the problem because the same dvds that skipped or freeze they skip again and again after trying them many times. And the same about the dvds that didnt skip they still dont skip after trying them many times. Then when I go back to the ones that skipped they skip again and so on and on...

  19. Hi, Last 3 or 4 weeks I am having problems with dvd copies. Around 50% of the burns, they are skipping and freeze and shows boxes (like big pixels... sorry I don't know what to call it exactly). I always used Imgburn and Maxell DVD-r and never had these problems. How to check if the DVD burner is good or bad? My DVD burner is: http://www.directron.com/gh22np20.html Thanks
