Why do you want 1x when clearly isn't possible and never was on +R media? Try 4x since 2.4x was tested without success. Try some quality discs from Verbatim MKM/MCC not that low quality CMC. Hi, I'm loosin' some media actually. I've updated the firmware of my drive, re-installed the program (imgburn), cleaned the lens. I've, even, try to burn at safe mode, but didn't work. The process stops at 50% and gives a I/O error message. Generally, when i burn at 4x the process sucessfully ends, but the ABGX points a layerbreak error (I even play that games but at the middle of game, like NFS Hot Pursuit, the game freezes at a nocturne track). Another curiosity about this, it's the fact of sometimes (like yesterdays nite) the process works fine (2,4x or 4x).
