I 09:29:16 Found 1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW! I have some recorded movies on the same Sony DVD-R's that play fine in the drive. So maybe it is the firmware? I'm also gonna grab some Verbatims and Taiyos and see if that helps. I have no experience updating firmware so I need to do some research on that first...

Every time I insert a blank DVD, I get the same message: "device not ready (medium not present - tray closed)" I've tried Memorex and Sony DVD-R's and DVD-RW's. What am I missing here?
