I just found an old verbataim disc. placed that in and the drive started burning straight away at 4x speed. So i assume that it dosent like Aone Media lol. Problem is i cant get hold of verbs locally. Any suggestions on were to get the best deals on verbataim media. thanks for suggestions again much appreciated.

Hi, sorry i forgot to mention that i pathched the firmware to offer lower speeds to see if that works. I was receving the same error when 'RICOHJPN-D01-67 was set to default write speed. So i assume that the problem does not lay there. Ill just revert back to default speed. thnks for the quick response much appreciated.

Hi, i just recently purchased this drive iHAS124B its been crossflahed to a iHAS524B and has c4eva firmware. problem is im trying to burn some game backups (xbox) im using Aone Gold edition media. im using the drive with my laptop and i have it hooked up with a USB 2.0 TO SATA / IDE CABLE FOR HDD W/ POWER ADAPTER The funny thing is that most of the time i recieve the error i have below. However, sometimes after restarting the laptop messing around etc. I can get it to burn and when it does decide to burn the game burns without any errors and verifys without errors. But most of the time it just refuses to even write on the discs. Can anyone suggest what the possible cause is. Ive previously used Aone media on my laptop burner without any problems. Here is a log of the error. I have also, tried fiddling with the advanced settings and most of the time it refuses to even write on the disc.
